What a bunch of Wimpy Whiners we've become. The play took place at the 9:57 mark of Q3. TMac took a long 2 (one foot inside the arc) which was so bad it grazed the side of the rim and fell straight downward. The shot was so bad, it hit the floor and was picked up by Juwan as he was falling out of bounds. Howard was able to pass the rebound back out to McGrady who quickly passed to Yao in the paint for a turnaround hook over Blount. Please don't embarass us by sending this pic and complaining to anyone.
Really? Convince me you went back and reviewed the play by telling me what happened on the Celtics next possession. The camera angle on the play has both LaFrentz and Yao with their backs and sides to the camera. In real time this play is nothing different than what happens all over the NBA. Forgive me if I get the impression you are partial in your view of the play...assuming you did review it.
GOOD IDEA. BRILLIANT! LET ME KNOW WHEN IT'S OUT I'LL GET ONE FOR MYSELF. I say, Yao should not wear a deodorant when going to play against these hobbits.
Who cares what goes on in every other game? As Rockets fans, it's our job to complain about calls we are being screwed on, not monitor the entire NBA and see if we are getting screwed any more or less than another team. Maybe it was in the 3rd quarter of a blowout game on a possesion we scored anyway...but it indicates what is potentially going on the entire game...which means maybe LaFrentz got away with multiple fouls in the 1st quarter, too, which would have put him on the bench. Maybe not, but nobody knows anything with refereeing these days. It is almost as bad as umpiring with its different strike zones for every ump, inning and batter. With continued improvements in technology, it is my hope that one day inconsistent and biased human officiating is done away with.
Who cares if it was the 1st or 3rd? The point is very simple. Teams can come back in the NBA, that 3rd qu. crap simply means we had the time onm the clock to come back if we could get a call to go in our direction!
Thanks to Mark Cuban for stopping by. And after the break our next guests will be Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley who'll give us a true picture of what it's really like on the floor when every official is out to screw you.
No one hates the officating as much as I do, but I do disagree with replacing humans with a machine of some kind. However I think simply putting in a fine system would do wonders. If they miss X amount of calls per game there should be a fine. They have no problems fining players and coaches disobeying the rules, I think the system would be a little more equal if they had to pay for their mistakes too.
I really want that T-Shirt now lol, it would be so awesome. Imagine Yao signing an Autograph on that shirt LOL
I agree. When 500 million people in China turn off their TV in disgust, maybe something might change.
