I love Scola, but this is just crazy talk. I guess AB is better than Kobe, then, and Lowry is better than D-Wade.
Put down the Kool Aid. If you want to argue that Luis is better fit because he has a smaller contract, fine, but anyone who thinks Bosh isn't a better player needs to talk to Morey, because he obviously disagrees.
Really? Are you sure? Or are you the one swallowing the marketing Koolaid when they sent out the Toyotas on a road trip knowing they had no shot at Bosh? DD
Just stop, the organization desperately wanted Bosh and were doing everything in thier power to get him.
I am not rewriting anything, I am looking at the entire picture and drawing a conclusion. I know Morey is an asset gatherer, and I also know he is a smart guy, he knew that we had a miniscule shot at Bosh all along, therefore I think he went with it, and used it as a marketing tool to keep the Rockets in the fans minds during the dog days. I mean they sent out a bunch of fans in a Toyota truck on a road trip, come on, that is 100% a marketing ploy. You can believe that the organization went all in if you like, I believe they are smarter than that, and knew all along.... DD
Scola continues to get better each season. In my opinion trading him would be a mistake. He's a winner, you can't teach that. Plus the guy is a constant professional. Never complains about anything. He's not your typical NBA Star Diva (Melo). Keep Scola and the rest of the team.
1.) They tried to get him at the deadline 2.) They made a custom iPad with past legends to try and convince him 3.) They *may* have used this site as an idirect method to add influence directed at him. 4.) They had Yao tweet him 5.) They sent out the rowdies to creep his house. This was no marketing ploy, that is complete and utter revisionism. A case could be made that they arent interested in Melo, but in the Bosh case, there is absolutely zero doubt.
That all looks like 100% marketing to me......so I have serious doubts. And wasn't it funny how all of what you said up there was publicized......lol. The Rockets organiztion is smart....they know what they are doing...they know... You do not agree...fair enough, we disagree. DD
You know what, I love Scola. He has become one of my favourite players in the NBA. I appreciate the fact that he plays hard every single night and puts up great numbers making less mone than he should be. So I'd be a little fed up if we traded him. But yeah, it depends on who we're getting back. If Morey could trade Scola for Durant or Gasol, than I'd be damn happy
So wait, what would the point be of the huge marketing push for Bosh if they didn't want him? To keep us in the fans' minds? You're out of your own. I agree, Morey is smart and probably knew his chances were slim, but to believe that they didn't think Bosh was a better player that Scola and especially a better insurance policy for Yao is just delusional, dude.
