If the Lakers had prime kobe and shaq they wouldn't hesitate taking Lebron at all.

No I admire the Dream Team because our best player was a Houstonian through and through. Look, we'll probably just have to agree to disagree lol. Maybe it's because I've been pulling against Lebron because I don't like his attitude or arrogance, I'm just not a fan of his. If he came here, it would be Lebron's team. I simply don't like the sound of that. If Melo came, it would be a wash between Harden, Howard, or Melo's team. That's more appealing to me..for whatever reason.

If your a fan of the club you welcome him with open arms. If your a player only fan (flog) then meh whatever.

He handled himself poorly when going to Miami. Fact is hes the best player in the game and if we had him we would all be stoked

I think you can be a true fan of the team and still not want Lebron here. For example, T-Mac is my favorite player of all time thus far..but as soon as he left I rooted for him to lose on any team we played against that he was on...the same way that I root against any other of the 29 franchises out there.

I would probably feel similar to acing a test that I already had the answers to beforehand. Sure I made a good grade but I wouldn't consider it much of an achievement.

what's the point of trading Lin and getting LeBron

you would still bring all the LOF to Houston and LeBron's fans are probably worse than Lin's lol

This. How would anyone have a problem with this? If we acquired LBJ, it would be under the rules set in place. Just a few years ago we were all wondering if the Rockets would be able to bring in Star level talent again. We now have the opportunity at landing a third player in as many years. People need to be a little more appreciative on what this organization is trying to do and has done in the last few years.

Hey aelliott, let's make a friendly wager. If Lebron joins the ROckets, I have to be punished by donating $40 to the tip jar. Will you donate $30 if Melo comes?

Same as when we got Harden and Howard. Pretty damn happy and excited.

Yeah, somehow it turned out to be a pretty short trip from "No free agent wants to play in Houston" to "I don't want Lebron to come here and play with Harden and Howard".

I think people are ignoring the fact that even if Lebron came to Houston it doesn't guarantee us a title. We'd still have to go out and win it and the last 4 years have shown that the best talent doesn't always win.

That's the problem with being in the West.

If the Jordan Bulls were in the West right now, they wouldn't be a lock to even get out of the conference.

Meanwhile, does anyone doubt that if the Spurs were in the East they would have been in the Finals and ECF more than their already mind-boggling count of 6 finals and 9 WCF appearances in 17 years?

Or that they'd have more than 5 titles given that they'd be ridiculously well rested after plowing through the likes of the Bobcats and Atlanta Hawks?

Lol this is why I can't even imagine an Eastern COnference without Lebron. It would probably be Wizards and Pacers in the ECF next year..yikes :(

Part of the game is juggling all the FO stuff because it's also a business. If Morey can get it done, then it's well deserved for the team and the city shouldn't have a problem getting behind it.

So Lebron coming to the West would be a brave thing to do and more challenging than staying in the East? Sounds good, sign me up.
