Pick one.

  1. Professional :: Could play in the NBA or any other professional leagues.

    10.9%
  2. Elite :: Dominates the court everytime you step on it. Yet, not good enough to go pro.

    1.9%
  3. Great :: You definitely contribute to your team and have lots of flashy moments.

    10.6%
  4. Good :: You're not the best on your team, but you can hold your own against anyone.

    26.3%
  5. Average :: You have good games, you have bad games. Inconsistent.

    24.7%
  6. Anything below average...

I am the t-mac of YMCA.

Ok, I'm below average... everyone sounds like a pro-baller here.

I'm a 5'10 asian guy that could do alley-oop dunks in a blue moon in college. My strengths are strangely physical D and passing. Abysmal shooter. I suck but I love basketball.

I was all state about 6 years ago, haven't really played since. My game is like Rondo, as a senior I averaged 12 pts, 11asts which is pretty damn good for high school ball. Got a few looks from D2 schools but wasn't interested. I love to pass more then shoot, but I had a couple 30+ point games in my day. Problem is I can't shoot outside 5 feet. Maybe that's why I never got a look?

    Like I said, Rondo.

Scola-esque, but w/o the vertical, speed, and defensive prowess.

Pure shooter with 3 point range, shows a desire to bang in the paint and will usually control the defensive glass because of his physicality and size. Very proficient post player who flashes counter moves when defenses overplay his right shoulder. Lacks athleticism and speed, but makes up for it with elite range and toughness. is not quick laterally when defending the perimeter, but shows he can rise to the challenge. Never allows easy baskets in the paint, instead uses brute strength and power to flagrant foul the opposition. Shows great leadership qualities and communication skills with his teammates, often leading huddles and ensuring correct assignments

I'm best at the defensive side, I have quick hands and can usually stick with my opponent like glue and anticipate/intercept passes a lot. My weakness is definitely my offense. My handles are pretty average. Mostly just stick to spot up shooting and slashing when I see the opportunity. I guess I'm like the average joe version of Shane Battier

Everyone here sounds so impressive... but I somehow have a feeling the reality will be more like this:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/coM5JaeHTK0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

rocketier1, you and me can combine to be the horrible versions of trevor ariza and battier. That sounds pretty awful...

I got into basketball when I was 18, a senior in high school. I was playing ball every day for 3 hours. My weakness was that due to lack of athleticism and strength, all I was good at was set shooting. I played with some rough people that will not tolerate my softness. Old schools always told me to use my 6'1 height and that if I developed a hook shot I be unstoppable. I tried... I tried.... And failed. Wanted to dunk so started reading about squats and deadlifts. Over the years I got stronger. Then I found out I was really strong in the paint. The hook was developed. If you knew how to read your defender using your back. You don't have to bulldoze yourself all the time. I fell in love with the post game but due to the average gym-goer all they want to do is shoot outside causing me to lose tremendous passion of playing. I would hardly get the ball. I go to the gym now for a different reason now and maybe take a glimpse on who's playing. My fun days were when I use to play outside. That's when you get the ball more. Shoot that three boy.

    1.) 6'1"

2.) Barely drives to the basket and likes to shoot jumpers.

    3.) Average mid range jumper.

    4.) Average 3 point shot.

    5.) Very poor transition game.

    6.) Above average defense.

7.) Thrives in slow half court play.

8.) Likes to play "team" basketball.

9.) Likes to use finesse instead of power.

LMAO, I'm okay with being a homeless mans Battier but sometimes I am kind of like Trevor Ariza in the sense that I don't know my limitations and try and be kobe at times.

Learn to crash the boards: turn around the minute they shoot, try to judge the angle and jump at it; that should bring back the fire.

Lol at some people and their assesezation of themselves is hysterical....and most of the people who claimed to be great we're under 6 feet I don't know what competition made these little guys "great", but it wasn't good ball players. C'mon guys-I'd say barring a few people who played elite high school ball than you're average or worse. Know this is old, but just found this funny at how many great players existed hahaha

    I voted for Professional.

    Here's the evidence:

    1. My attacking game has been described as D. Rose like. I am too quick and crafty for PF/C to guard and can always get into the paint.

    2. My low-post game has been described as Dream + Shaq. I am too strong for PG/SG/SF to prevent me from getting great low-post position and I have the Shaq-bump and Dream up-and-unders on lock.

    3. My rebounding game has been described as Barkley like. I am a rebounding machine and people are always shocked because of my height. However, I can board because I know how to you my body to position myself for the rebound.

    4. My passing and handles are Nash like. I make 2-3 passes a game that make people go "WOW!" and I do at least 2 behind-the-back layups and behind-the-back-and-under-the-leg Kobe dribble a game.

The weakest part of my game is my three-point range. I can hit it, but I'm only consistent from long distance when I'm stationary.

    In 1992 I averaged 18 points 14 rebounds 12ast 3 blocks. Point forward.

At 6'1" 88kg I was quick, could jump out of the building and was a beast on defence.

For our local league 8 years latter I think, from memory, averaged 16 points 12 rebounds 11 ast and 2 blocks playing the point. My handle isn't great to be honest, but this is Australia.
We won the league that year with cast offs...

Will find championship medallion and post pic if I can find it.

Now I just play pick up games and I organise a 3 on 3 blacktop twice a year through my church for anyone who wants to play.

Hey my skill set sucked, but I won with heart, determination and alot of hard work. I played defence when hand checking was allowed. Had two good scoring seasons.

In Australia I was considered a GIANT! Google Phillapino league for examples.

Could I play pro? Two words

    Brian Scalabrine

    Two more
