See, the difference here is. That while Marbury comes to being "not as bad as the rep that has been built", T-mac comes and came to being, "not AT ALL as the bad rep that has been built".

If we're gonna pick "not as bad as the rep" players, I'd much rather have Cat.

I'd like to add on that note... That we stay completely away from Latrell Sprewell and Bonzi Wells. :)

Not necessarily a big fan of SM especially at that price but I'd have to disagree with your assessment. Marbury's assists are higher and turnovers are MUCH lower. If I had to pick one over the other as a PG, I think I'd take Marbury. If I could move the player from PG to SG, perhaps then I'd take SF3.

I agree with everything you wrote including it not happening. The Rockets would have a better shot pursuing Crawford.

As noted before, when Marbury faced the Steve Francis Rockets, he was utterly destroyed.
Plus Steve has Cuttino. Marbury has no friends.

That was Marbury's 1st game after a trade. He didn't know a single play. He was a lost puppy out there as anybody is their first day at a new job. Not a good example. I don't even know why that was brought up.

I also don't understand the Cat reference. Wouldn't having another strong player at your side make you that much more effective. Marbury didn't have the benefit of good teammates.

And now it's a year later and Marbury only knows 3 plays.

    1. Marbury dribble right and shoot.
    2. Marbury dribble left and shoot.
    3. Marbury dribble down the middle and shoot.

    Options off plays 1, 2, 3
Look for open man if caught in mid-air trying to shoot the ball after running plays 1, 2, and 3, and the defender is in your jock with his armpit to your nostrils and his elbow above your hard noggin.

Oops, I accidentally recited the whole Knicks 2005 playbook.

You're not trying to blame that on one person are you? Oh and he is such a ball hog that he is in the top 3,4 in total assist every year. Man, that guy is greedy!

Some guys can be selfish with assists, some with rebounds, and even with defense! A player is selfish when he decides to "get his" knowing that it won't help the team win, that's what Marbury has done for most of his career.

Remember Rodman in the 95 WCFs leaving Robert Horry wide open to get in better position for rebounds? That was him being selfish with rebounds. There are players who are selfish with blocks as well, like Theo Ratliff for instance.

i remember watching steph when he was with suns in the last year in the summitt (or whatever it was called the last couple of years) and he put like 25 & 8 on us in a phoneix win, and stevie played then. for the most part steph tears apart pretty much every PG in the league, just ask tony parker.

Marbury doesn't have any friends. He's like Kobe Bryant, except Kobe Bryant is 100X better. No one wants to play with Marbury.

At least Cuttino wanted to play with Steve.

Marbury apparently gets lit up alot by opposing guards. Look at the Knicks record. Look at Marbury after he leaves a team, they miraculously get better.

I would not go for Marbury, He is selfish and would ruin the great chemistry this team developed.

i dont care what you say... your an idiot if you dont think we would be unstoppable on the offense side. you cant leave tmac or marbury unguarded at any point along the perimeter... they are both amazingly quick to the rim and can both shoot the ball. not only that...but teams would have to worry about yao as well.

basically your an idiot if you believe we would be worse for having marbury. if this was even put on the table. we better make it happen.
