I have a feeling the credit card companies are going to be seeing a lot of cash coming their way from people paying off debt. I myself am putting it in the savings account for a few months until gas and food cost chill out(hopefully) and then putting it towards my credit cards later down the line.

pay off some debt, save the rest.

so if you received your normal tax rebate via Direct deposit is that how you'll receive this relief rebate?

By everyone saying they're putting it in savings and/or paying off debt, this won't help the economy at all...

You b*tches have to spend money... :D

Just bought a laptop for law school. The rebate will ensure that i'll get it paid off before interest kicks in :)

we are at least partially where we are today because people are tapped out. because as a nation, we have way too much debt. i'd argue it's better for the long-term economy for people to make progress getting out of debt.

40gb sadly, but it's brand new. I didn't want a 2 year old console etc. Almost bought one off ebay till he said '06 when I asked how old it was.

How do we know if we're getting one? If I get one, I got a credit card that it can help pay off.

It's my understanding that you can plug a SATA laptop hard drive in. That was the case when the original 60 GB came out. I read a couple of cases of people upgrading their hard drives for greater capacity.

As far as formatting it and transferring data, I don't know the specifics.

I bought a 60GB last fall (got to get my last bit of gaming in before my daughter was born). It was the last one my local Best Buy had. I primarily did it for the Emotion Engine so I could play my old PS2 games without a problem, especially since I gave my brother my old PS2. At least the 80GB model does software emulation, but $ony cut that out with the newer models.
