One of the most disappointing, underachieving, heartless, me-people ever to wear a Rockets jersey. He made Pippen look like Mr. Charismatic. It's finally nice to see Tracy "Iso'ed".
I'll remember the team's success. Those two years with a healthy T-Mac, and healthy Yao in the playoffs were exciting, even if they will be remembered for failure.
yeah i will remember the good....even though i'm not a big tmac fan. that 13 points in 33seconds (or whatever it was) was unbelievable. and truly it showed what kind of player he COULD/ possible CAN be. just hope he doesn't come back to haunt us but when emotional trades like this happen, it usually results in a guy coming back and torching. rockets should hold onto him until summer. get his value
1. SheMc opening up a big ass can of quit on his teammates vs. Toronto 2. Being the most selfish and narcissistic player to play for the Rockets EVAR!!!! 3. Dr. McGrady diagnosing himself with injuries unrelated to the problem that everyone knew was more about what was between his ears and what was not inside his chest 4. Picking the Lakers over his own team 5. "It's on me." 6. "It's my fault." 7. Thinking that any one player is bigger than the team 8. Being a cautionary tale of wasted potential because of his extraordinary proclivity for charmin-like softness and disingenuous demeanor
I'll remember the countless number of times that McGrady quit during the middle of a play because he was scratched or poked in the eye or jammed a finger or tweaked an ankle or... On more than one occasion he was handling the ball when it happened and he simply let it go and put on a dramatic display of pain at midcourt while the other time scored a break away dunk. Dude! Secure the ball and call timeout if it is so bad you can't go. Pass it to a teammate. Do something! Don't quit! Maybe I'm being unfair. Maybe my experiences as a football coach keep me disconnected from other sports, but in my opinion quitting during a play is unacceptable. It is an anathema! He did some good things here, but no, I won't miss him! I for one I am glad to see the Rox have come to the end of the road with this drama king/queen. It's too bad McGrady didn't grow up in Europe; he would have made a great soccer player.
Remember? I don't really want to remember now that he's officially off the team. Somebody on this team scored 13 in 33 to beat the San Antonio Spurs for a great ROCKETS WIN! Not caring to remember a dunk that lasted all but 1 sec. (hate to be remembered for only one second of my life) Trade rumors were just disruptive and served no other purpose. 3 all-star appearances? meh. Rather remember Hakeem's 12 all-star appearances (need to change the ol sig someday)
T-Mac will be remembered by me as a player who had ALL the tools for greatness, but lacked the mental and physical fortitude to back it up. The man had amazing court awareness and could score at will, but did not have the killer instinct and toughness to ever launch himself to the same level as all the other greats.
What does that have to do with getting jvg fired as you say? I was replying to you saying they didn't win against utah and it cost jvg his job and that was because tracy didn't come through in the clutch. I responded by asking where does yao fit into getting jvg fired? Wasnt he the other star on the team when they lost to utah that cost jeff his job?
most down on tmac during the debacle of something bothering him in the 05-06 season most sold on him during the streak
what do you want me to put in there? I'm a man about it even if the trade hasn't happened. What if shane is part of the deal also, then what?
Oooooh....fair point, I think we may have to hold off, if Shane goes at the same time...then it has to be a draw, agreed? DD
His incredible handle (beside Rafer, he was probably the second best at bringing the ball up against defense) His playmaking ability His court vision His ability to draw double/triple team NONE of which Ariza possesses.
We can do that, but it does look like Tracy is out the door which is good. I've been pouring over contracts and whatnot and trying to see what a team would give up for tracy and i cant see no way the rockets can trade tracy without giving up scola or landry. What u think?
13 points in 33 second is the best memory he left with me in Rocket uniform. I will always remember how talented he once was ... how he did not make the most out of his talents ... how he commented on his teammates to the media ... and how big his ego is.
There needs to be an option for 'Constantly injured' and 'Only time the Rockets made it to the 2nd round with him on the team was when he was injured'
