There should be better choices, but as far as the Tmac trade, that was the correct thing to do. Stevie couldn't function if the offense wasn't based on him. it's only disappointing because we knew what kind of talent he has.
I'll remember the 22 game win streak. Remember McGrady actually having an "honorable loss" in the playoffs versus Jazz. Better to be the underdog losing in 6 than teasing with grandeur Will remember the debates with friends whether McGrady is better for the team over Francis and Mobley. I didnt watch the 13 in 35 game so that never sticks with me. I'll remember McGrady controlling the ball closing out quarters, having a legit triple threat drive/pass/shoot player (just so he tosses up a step back 3 pointer). Got to advance in the playoffs to have legacy. Thats why as hard as Steve Francis played, regular season accounts will always be sketchy.
1. 13 in 35 2. the rockets vs. mavs playoff series 3. 22 streak, played 48 minutes against the hornets
I'll remember him for all the talking he did. Particulary it's on me, it's my fault. (Sound familiar to another Houston sport figure? Heh)
Sadly, I will remember him as a broken down drama queen......A guy that ALWAYS put himself ahead of the team. Instead of the guy who in his Orlando days could handle Kobe one on one defensively and do whatever he wanted on the offensive end.
I think Tracy is fundamentally a good guy. I could be wrong. Easy to say now, but our expectations of him were always far too high.
HAHA. I'm no Tracy lover but come on you're being a flat out hater. The guy helped us achieve history with that streak. I'm going to remember him for -13 in 35 -Great scorer for two or three seasons -Not getting out of the 1st round -Injuries -Last two seasons, aka rehab failure along with the loss of his heart.
I wish we would have kept SF3...But Mac was a beast and ill remember him for what could have been..... -Remember when we were up 2-0 on the Mavs and the Rockets were supposed to be the new power in the west... -Remember when players like JKidd wanted to come join what could have been one of the most dominating duos in recent history The list of What could have been........But it will never be.................Damn this is making me sad lol
all of the above man. I don't agree with some of his decisions but man he was still fun to watch in a rockets uniform. He is a very exciting perimeter player and put on great shows for us, his and the rockets fans. I will hold nothing against him after he is traded, I'll even make sure to watch a couple of his games in march or so and see how he's doing on the court.
