It seems obvious to me Morey and Adelman never had any intention at all of incorporating Tmac back into the line-up. They had no plan for it. And, when the time came, they put forth the message that they were clueless how to proceed with Tmac. I do feel there was some deception on their part. I don't think they had any intention of keeping Tmac. They probably thought he wouldn't be back. Or, the plan was to trade him all along and they just weren't forthcoming about it. In the end, I feel they handled it poorly as well. If they weren't willing to gamble on Tmac again, then they should have let that be known much sooner...instead of making us believe that Tmac would be able to come back. I think all they were doing with the 7-8 minute stints was showcasing him for a trade. They were not serious about working him back in.

This doesn't affect me at all. I love this team!

T-Mac fans are probably feeling the way I felt when we traded away Francis and Cuttino. I didn't like it.

    Eventually I got over it.

Those Orlando Magic fans were right... heck so were the fans in Toronto. This guy is a head case...the track record proves it!

But if Olajuwon was traded before his championships years I'd have rooted for his new team as well. I'd be a Rockets fan but I'd be a fan of whatever team Dream was on. I rooted for Dream when he was with Toronto - I just loved the guy and always wanted him to win.

So I am not going to be too hard on the TOF's on this board who may leave. I hope they stay Rockets fans and I think most of them will. It's hard to abandon a team after you get to know all the players - even if that's your first reaction. Usually after people calm down they will come back.

They may not be as passionate but they will lurk and stick around and eventually start posting again around playoff time or whenever. And they will be back for sure if T-mac does well somewhere else. I do hope they come back by the way.

This has been the most interesting season in a long time. To see the Rockets
outperform all the critics, and seemingly their "supposed" talent level, has
been awesome. Especially when you look at what the Texans do annually, which is underperform their expectations. McGrady's time has passed here and
I am glad that this story is finally no longer just a rumor. I'm no McGrady hater. It was exciting to bring a superstar into Houston and promising for awhile, but this team is going another direction, and I will be there for the ride.

At first, I was royally pissed that we were getting rid of Cat and Stevie. I blame a stubborn JVG for that mess.

But, as he played more here, I began to really like McGrady. His talents are unreal.

It looks like the honeymoon is over though.

I'll be a Rockets fan as usual, good season or not.

I'll always love the Rockets. Loved McGrady in a Rockets uniform, and if he isn't a douche towards the organization and players after he leaves I'll root for him to get out of the 1st round, but I won't be looking for his boxscore.

When I first got into basketball, Tmac was my favorite player and thats how I grew to love the Houston Rockets. Before the 07-08 season started i was just a casual fan and I would watch bball maybe 4 times a year. Opening night that year was when I fell in love with the nba(Rockets beating the Lakers on a Shane Battier 3). The 22-game winning streak that year only made basketball more enjoyable. As I learned more and more about basketball, I realized it wasnt just Tmac but the overall heart and hustle of that team that led to the streak. Thats my story with the rockets...I honestly wanted Tmac to stay and find a way to work back into the rotation but this team is playing with as much chemistry as during the days of 07-08. Hustle defines this team, and as long as that is true, I am a Rockets fan.

I am always the fan of players but not the fan of organization. I dislike Houston's owner and management (though DM is really good and I understand his approach). I like the players that rockets had now and I think Tmac can be the key piece of the puzzle.

    Ditto this.

I just want this whole deal to be over with -- will say I am NOT thrilled at how this has played out and feel TMac will flourish elsewhere but since we are not willing to even give it a shot, (sigh) guess it is just time to move on.
