They won't be able to yell "Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!" or have to shout "Heads up!" as often in practice.
Yao will probably miss him just like he missed Francis once he was traded. Rafer has been our one stabilizer the past 3 years. even after we brought in Steve Francis and Mike James to take his spot, Rafer was still there. i know i'm going to miss him. tis a sad day indeed.
adding to what you said, i agree its what they want, but it's what they want RIGHT NOW, not after this year. They only want a vet now so he can come in and jump right in and play a role in the playoffs. they know jameer is their guy and he'll be back next yr so they're just basically renting rafer. By no means should this be confused with rafer being better than lowry, which some fans suspect, it's just that lowry hasn't been around like rafer has. Orlando doesn't really have veteran leadership, maybe hedo and shard, but i dont think they that vocal and shard hasn't really been in the playoffs much. Rafer is vocal and has a lot of experience. Wouldnt that have benefited us then, you ask? Maybe some, but remember we have deke, whos been around for 100 yrs and brent, who has championship experience, so i think we have enough veteran leadership there.
Why would Yao be pissed? Never again will he have to see that damn teardrop shot go floating by his head, only to clang off the rim.
Rafer was a pretty good friend to him, he was like his Steve Francis part 2. We can only hope Lowry is going to be his Steve Francis Part 3. I know Brooks isn't going to because it seems like Brooks doesn't like Yao much.
You know this how? This is just a foolish statement. You clearly hate Brooks enough to make up things you don't know for whatever reason. If you don't like his game, knock his game. Don't fabricate things about Brooks' character. I haven't heard a word from anybody anywhere saying that Brooks has been anything less than a professional since joining the Rockets. And I've heard Brooks on a number of occasions being very complimentary of Yao's game and what he means to the Rockets.
Sad day. He has been here, fighting hard, against Chris Paul on the court, criticize T-Mac when others keep silent, I am a Chinese rocket fan, I am also a Alston fan. Take care, Ralfer, you will be missed.
From what I've seen off the court on the cameras and on the court, Rafer and Yao seem to have good chemistry. Just an assumption. As for Brooks and Yao, What I've noticed earlier this year, Brooks never really feeded the ball to Yao...hardly ever. Has he been recently? Absolutely, however, a coach telling you to feed the ball to the big guy isn't really going to develop chemistry. Maybe you should get off his sacks.
I'll ignore that last comment for the sake of argument. As far as not feeding Yao, if that is true, it isn't because "he doesn't like Yao" as you assumed. If anything, it would be because he was making bad decisions. Don't make up stuff and leave out the childish insults if you want to make any friends around here.
I'm making stuff up? It's more like assuming. The dictionary is an excellent tool for words and things you don't know. Hopefully Lowry will start, neither of them have proven anything in their careers. Brooks has proven more as a Rocket, but I believe Since Lowry is a pass-first PG he should start. Always start the pass-first PG..... That's why Jason Terry was coming off the bench, when he was playing.
i haven't seen anything to indicate Rafer and yao were Steve and ya part 2, what you're forgetting is Yao knew no one when he first came here and steve reached out to him and go to know him, so steve was like his first friend here, thats where the closeness came from. by the time rafer came Yao was no longer the new kid in school so he probably got along well with everyone almost equally.
Your own words: "Rafer was a pretty good friend to him, he was like his Steve Francis part 2. We can only hope Lowry is going to be his Steve Francis Part 3. I know Brooks isn't going to because it seems like Brooks doesn't like Yao much." These don't sound like assumptions. Maybe you are the one in need of a dictionary.
I'm sorry my opinions on Aaron Brooks don't please you, but I can already tell you Rafer Alston helps this team more than Brooks does. Brooks helps out the bench, Rafer helps out the starting lineup. You got your opinion I got mine, no need to get tense because I don't think Brooks is the GOAT.
