If the spurs lose and we win wouldn't that make us the division leader, giving us the tiebreaker over the Clippers for the #2 seed
Only way i see it is, either we get the 2seed which would be great. Our we play Portland which would be great, especially with batum injured now.
Portland is not that great because we would have to face the warriors in the second round unless a historic upset happens
If we get second, we face Mavs but our pick drops 5 spots due to the Pelicans making the playoffs. If we get 5th, we face Blazers and our pick would the lottery at 14th. Win win situation IMO, i'm very happy with both scenario's. But dear god let us get this W over the Jazz tomorrow. 2nd game of a back to back, Hayward/Favors/Hayward, Harden might be tired, Howard might be rusty, we're without Motie/Bev, it's not a locked W.
You are facing the Warriors AND Spurs in the playoffs in rounds 2-3 anyway. Where the Rockets screwed up is giving the Spurs life so they don't face the Warriors in the second round... Had we taken care of buisness, we would have had to beat Dallas, Clippers, GS/SA ...... Now probably POR, GS, SA .... Good luck with running that gauntlet.

If OKC takes the 8 seed at least the Warriors will have to deal with Westbrook at least 4 times. You never know with a guy capable of dropping 50 points with a triple double every night. They would be massive underdogs of course.
