What does the Rockets organization have to do to ensure that Harden doesn't become another selfish diva like Carmelo Anthony?

Harden is young, so there is still time to correct his behavior, but the window is closing fast. Les and Morey need to do something before Harden turns into fool's gold.

Any realistic suggestions? Let's hear them.

build a real team around him, players and coaches. get him some fkn help. stop making him do 90% of the offense in b2b seasons. that should do the trick. otherwise get used to the new har(d)en

I mean he has to put in some work on his end such as off season conditioning right? It's not all on the 'others' right? Some of it is on Harden's end? He still has to change somewhat.

I only recall it being this season he came in out of shape and that was due to injury that occurred over the summer. Harden is not a Carmelo type player, he'll be fine as long as we surround him with enough help and a good coaching staff.

It was a sprained ankle. If every NBA player became overweight and out of shape from a sprained ankle than every player in the NBA would be overweight and out of shape because every NBA player has some form of ankle sprain every damn season.

Can you tell me how DMo didn't become overweight from BACK SURGERY? Oh I know... proper dieting and condition which requires effort.

It's a telling sign when a 26 year old professional athlete cannot stay in shape from a sprained ankle.

Organization right from the top need to stop being enablers. Harden has Mauri and this organization by the cojones. He can do whatever he wants with no accountability and zero repercussions knowing that the fat geek will go bat for him on social media

Don't play defense for 95% of the season, just have one good play here and there and Murray will put that on his twatter account
    ==========================================================================================

He choses what players he wants on the roster, what players he wants traded, what coach he wants, he breaks the playbook that was set up, he has his favorites that he passes to.....

Are you making a thread for every opinion you have? A lot of these have already been created or talked about...

We just need to face the fact that he needs to preserve more energy on offense and play fewer minutes. Our team should be good enough to withstand that. We are too reliant on him at the moment.

My point is that an original thought is pretty rare.

A zebra doesn't change his stripes. In other words, Harden will always be a ball dominant, ball stopper and no defense kind of player regardless of the coach.

The right mentor can change the entire paradigm of a player's outlook on how to be a great player. It's been done before.

Hire a great coach with balls who can change the player's attitude.

Having someone better than Brewer be your #2 scoring option would help.

You put players around him. Carmelo has never been on a great roster. Had he been, the narrative surrounding his legacy might be different.
