At first, I heard there was an issue with a cruise. I got worried, 'cuz a friend is on one. Then they said it was a "luxury" cruise, so then I knew it wasn't my friend's cruise.
Went on a Caribbean cruise with my mom when I was 18. It was on Carnival. It wasn't that great because it was a cheap cruise, which means you're on an older boat and have to endure the other cheapies. My dad went on the same cruise with his wife a few years later. I'd never heard him use racial slurs until he came back from this cruise. A few years after that, I went on an Alaskan Cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines with my dad, his wife, and my siblings. It was absolutely awesome. I loved it 500000x more than the Caribbean cruise because there's actually **** to look at while you're cruising along. It was amazing.
On our last cruise, we did not run into any douches but we were chased around the ship by weirdly oversized animals
When my wife and I go on vacation, we're not trying to be lazy. Lazy vacations are boring. We're actually hustling quite a bit on vacation. A trip to Switzerland/Italy a couple of years ago: 15 towns in 14 days, traveling by train with children. Ton of fun, but not lazy by any means. I've had a boycott on cruises for a long time because of the problems they had with prosecution of rape in international waters in the '90s. Not that I thought it was likely I'd be raped, but I didn't appreciate the combative stance they took on it.
Then WTF's the point of going? I've been on about 3-4 cruises and loved every one of them...All you can eat and room service...the point is to be lazy and do nothing but eat and drink and see some beautiful beaches... My best experience was a Disney cruise..for real...
I've been on 2 cruises. 1 was an Alaskan cruise with, I think it was Norwegian line or something like that, and the Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean. The Alaskan cruise had some amazing things to see, but man was it boring on board. Nothing but senior citizens. Carnival.....now that was a blast.
hey dont knock something you have never tried. You never know you might enjoy it. I didnt think I would enjoy a cruise either but it turned out to be a very fun and relaxing trip.
i've been on royal caribbean to jamaica, caymans and cozumel. it was a lot of fun. and i didn't even drink. i bet drinking on a cruise makes it even better.
