Get one more superstar that fits and keep Yao healthy.

More height / girth / defensive presence inside.

And a healthy (for 82 games + postseason) Yao.

Rockets will be hoisting the golden ball in no time.

Rockets need a superstar! D-wade type and a big man that can be quick around the glass to pick up boards and quick in the paint to score! W/O both were no contenders. Yao is just not going to cut it neither is K-mart. Just think of the teams that have won the Ship in the past. Gasol, Kobe, Bynum, and Artest we need to be able to match up with these guys. get-ir-done MOREY!!!

The way to beat the Lakers is to get more two-way players. We are overloaded with one-way players right now who are great offensively but questionable on defense. And we need a legitimate #1 star. Yao/Brooks/Martin is a good #2/#3/#4 on a title team, but I don't think any of them is a #1.

Length and siza up front with Yao.

They win because they Out Rebound.

with the starting lineup we have i dont think we would be defensively able to beat the lakers 4 times in a series.

    Yao -1 year older
    Scola - 1 year older
    Battier - 1 year older

Seriously to matchup with Lakers you need to match their size and length that's their main advantage over the rest of the league!

If we are going to have tall players playing under and around the basket we need someone who can pass the ball into them: this will mean a change in our game philosophy of last season, and a Coach who is willing to make these changes. :p

i also think kmart would really struggle with the lack of whistles.

We NEED to beef up our defensive present in the paint to even with Yao back if Morey intends on keeping the same backcourt, AB and Kmart together. Must add length, shot blocking and rebounding whether its through the draft, free agency or trade.

I don't see your point. Yao and Scola are up their in age, but not in terms of their basketball treadmills. Scola didn't play 82 game seasons until 3 years ago. Yao's age has no impact on how he'll play the game. He's as "fresh" as any player can be. And Battier isn't even a big deal given that Ariza/Martin/Budinger forms the rotation just fine.

Well a realist would think that we should concentrate on making the playoffs first. The Rockets' level of play is nowhere near the two teams you saw go at it last night. Unfortunately, Houston has a long way to go. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how I see it.

they'll get Bosh, and I think they would be unbeatable for the next 3 or 4 years.

we need a superstar wing or point that can create to offset kobe.
the only ones that are better than kobe are lebron or dwade.
if yao is healthy he will offset gasol.
our role players will eviscerate the lakers' role players.:big grin:
we would have killed the lakers last year with a healthy tmac & yao:mad:
