    ....who boasted?

If you argue the other way you are pounding your chest and boasting?

If I see a trash can and a bin next to each other I throw away my recyclables in the bin. If the bin is not in my path, I'm not going to go out of my way to make one minuscule change. My time and energy is more important.

If you disagree, I call BS, no way you care that much. Saying and doing seem to be the only problem in this subject. People say they do, but never really do what they preach.

Recycling only affects the future generations. So who cares?

If he really cares about four or so grams, he is the biggest stickler to ever exist.

    Hope not.

I bet you don't donate to charity or disaster relief either.

Since it's "other people profiting" according to you.

This thread has inspired me to go recycle my Mello Yello aluminum can in the company breakroom. I'll be doing this while the TV will be on Fox News showing Glenn Beck. WORLDS COLLIDING!!

Do they really weigh 10 grams, or are you just ROUNDING to the nearest 10? :p

Honest to goodness, man, I thought they weighed less!

Some of you will flame me for this... but I ask to get paper bags at the grocery store whenever possible. It is at this point when I get stared at like I’m a jerk. People at the register like to pull the hippie move and encourage me to chip in and help the planet. Little do they know, the same plastic bags they’ve been duped into promoting, are way worse for the planet.

Also, don’t come at me with the excuse that I should be using reusable bags. Screw that, I like paper bags. It reminds me of my childhood and they hold more. Not to mention they smell amazing.

Also, I double bag whenever possible. Even if it’s for buying bread. Why? Because it’s hilarious to see people’s reaction.

Which stores still have paper bags except Whole Foods and Central Market?

Interesting picture that you posted. It really makes me question the association of the Nazi government in the 1930s and 1940s of Germany with the modern day recycling program. WOULD VIEW AGAIN A+A+A+A+A+

I just guessed I didn't round. I didn't think I needed to be more accurate than I could guess.

I agree someone should not get "pissed" just as I think someone shouldn't argue with strangers on the internet about just how unimportant they think recycling cans is.

Bottom line: recycling = good and easy to do (in the OP case for sure)

Oh boy, sure is hard carrying that empty bottle with you for an extra 30 seconds. The horror.

Can't expect much out of people these days.

Some people need a reason to be mad. Recycling is a perfect topic that gets people nowhere no matter how much they argue either way.

Don't quote anything I say in the debate and discussion. Leave that **** where it belongs.
