Jesus, what is with the obsession with Marxism anyways? Nobody is saying he created a good economic system, but some of his concepts of modifications to capitalism (such as a stronger social safety net) have bode well for many nations (France, Canada, Sweden etc.). Do not forget that it was Marx that was the one who got child labour laws passed. Do not forget that capitalism in it's rawest form was Victorian England and if it had not been for the most accelerated use of resources we are currently using and admittedly, the many technological innovations capitalism has inspired us to, we would've probably been stuck in the same situation, the same one crony capitalism has brought to Third World nations. And strictly speaking from a practical sense, America is paying it's executives more then all other developed nations and has a burgeoning inequality between the classes that is equal to the PRC, not a country to aspire to. This is HIGHLY ironic considering some of these same idiotic executives are the ones who led the world into recession, while quietly, lesser-payed executives like Canadian bankers are righting the ship in their respective nations.
People consume the vast majority of their lifetime medical expense in the week or ten days before they die. Crazy I know.... such irony!
Read this joke somewhere else-- thought it might make us feel better: A wealthy hospital benefactor was being shown around the hospital.
