We're speaking in terms of a crunch time scenario. Of course Phil Jackson wouldn't put Kobe on Aaron for an entire game. But in a close game, with time running out on the clock, they're going to want their best defender on our "best" shooter.

With the signing of Miller to 30 million dollar deal I can't see them bringing him off the bench. Especially late in the game when it matters. I see their starting lineup being.

    PG - Wade
    SG- Miller
    SF - James
    PF - Bosh
    C - Ilgauskas

Bench -- Chalmers, Arroyo, Anthony, Haslem and you know they will sign a few more players.

But just matching starting lineups we may win the Center position depending on the health of Yao but Ilgauskas has always played Yao well. We have a slight edge in SG as well.

Lakers signed Barnes. Except for PG, they could be a seriously strong defensive team, especially in the wings. I don't think any team can really count on getting much points there.

Just as before, I think Ariza/Battier is as good as any to neutralize Kobe. Then AB/Lowry has the advantage at the PG spot. After that, it's about who wants it more. The Lakers have a tendency to get complacent, but they all know what it takes to win.

    The jazz have:
    Williams/price
    Bell/Gaines
    Kirelenko/Hayward
    Harrington/Milsap
    Okur/Harpring
    We have:
    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/cbud/taylor
    Ariza/battier/cbud
    scola/hill/patpat
    Yao/Miller
The Jazz basically replaced Boozer with Harrington. They have arguably the best pg in the league in williams and he will probably light us up all night. Other than that I don't see much of a disadvantage. I mean we matchup pretty evenly throughout and could have a slight advantage at sg. Scola will have trouble guarding Harrington and vice versa. Since Okur is more of a 3 point player, Scola might switch to Okur and Yao would guard Harrington. Again our bench is better. I think as long as we can contain Williams and keep Okur from getting open threes, I think we will do fine against them.

i honestly dont see us beating too many contenders the lakers are just too big. the celtics are smarter and far more experienced. orlando give us alot of matchup problems.i dont really consider dallas a contender.. i think we camn beat san antonio.. and i think we could take miami
