Jalen green is our best scorer period. Nobody on our team could put up 30-40+ pts in a game like green does oh but he's an inefficient chucker said green hater, well let's see anybody else on the team put up them points b4 doubting greens ability as the best scorer on the team.
The board has always had this habit. Even now you’ll hear people claim that if he scores 25+ ppg + 5apg on above average SG efficiency, it won’t matter if his defense is not good. Meanwhile there were only 14 total players that averaged 25+ ppg in the NBA and all of them - good or bad defenders - are worth $30-40m on the open market. Not good enough for some people.
If he ends up playing alongside Jalen and KPJ he will probably guard small forwards as his main assignment, but just generally the best wing player on the opposing team. You could call that a point forward if you want I guess, not sure it matters that much. If the starting lineup ends up being Amen, Jalen, and Tari, I think Jalen would defend point guards, Amen would defend shooting guards, and Tari would defend small forwards.
That is exactly what I think will happen - Amen will be SF but Point Forward on offense and SF on D...with KPJ and Green at SG. Tari will always be a bench player, IMHO, and is not a good enough offensive player to start. Point Forward - Amen SG - Green SG - KPJ PF - Bari C - Sengun DD
Hard to say what Tari's ultimate outcome will be on offense after just 1 season. He sucked at layups this season, but if he gets better at finishing around the rim and increases his 3P% to 36%, he might start getting close to one of his pre-draft comps, which was OG Anunoby
He is a hustle player, not a cerebral one.......if he were Battier then sure but he isn't.......he is a guy that plugs in, and gets boards, put backs and rebounds, but also isn't someone that moves efficiently within the offense. DD
