Rural communities do have problems with access to things like high speed internet and other infrustructure.

But as someone who is one of the leaders of this country, I would rather they have empathy for the side of the country they aren't affiliated with rather than calling those places "shitholes".

The people of the land are so riled up about culture wars that they make fun of people trying to improve infrustructure in their neighborhood.

It's hilarious and it's a trend that has existed for a long time just like when poor white Southerners fought for the plantation owners' rights to own slaves in mass.
