I know you thought you had a gotcha question. Sorry to disappoint you. Black kids come in these jobs with lack of basic understanding that they are there to work and that's why you get paid.

I could go into more depressing details but they don't understand fundamentals like the he company is trying to accomplish a goal and everyone benefits by that goal being accomplished and the way to get ahead is working hard

The data I link is from 2019 and shows how how close Hispanic and Black wealth is and how far away it is from the median white household.

Yes black kids are not taught work. Instead they are taught everyone hates them.

You can respond to me with your thoughts on my thoughts. I don't back down

    What are you actually doing.

What are you teaching them about work ethic and bettering themselves.

God has put in these general labor jobs?

How do these jobs get them home ownership and education?

Working, when they are ****ing off
There are things to be learned there at the sites and better jobs to be had if they prove themselves

They ****ed off school already. I'm not working with high schoolers

So you don't have an actual plan, you just serve an an overseer.

I wouldn't want your mentorship if I was them. You give shitty life advice. And from what you share your life isn't exactly all roses now is it? Do you think the youths you work alongside when they see you think to themselves, that's a model minority worth looking up to right there? Doubtful.

You guys keep trying to bring Hispanics into Black misery. If the man hates both Blacks and Hispanics, why does he hire Hispanics?

I'm just saying, people who take their own good advice tend to do well in their personal lives right? Yours hasn't exactly gone ideally, which I understand life happens and sometimes there are circumstances beyond a person's control that negatively impacts them that they could not foresee and prevent. I'm a flawed individual just like anybody. Just if what you share in this message board is the same stuff you're telling those youths you're claiming to help, I'm willing to bet they're not taking you seriously either just like most posters here on this message board don't.

It's not so much a personal attack against you, but more the "help" you claim to be offering to youths who very likely dismiss you. Their dismissiveness in your eyes I'm sure is just a rationalization that they don't like to work hard, when really they don't take you seriously and might in fact be busting their asses. I mean unless you're their foreman or their journeyman and they're your apprentices, it's not your lane bro.

Oh it was most certainly a gotcha question, showing you are not actually doing anything to uplift the black community but you sure love telling everyone what needs to happen.

It's very telling that you think only black kids have these issue.

Why can't you do anything outside of the job to help?

Do you think these general labor jobs gets them ahead in life?

I was laid off and started from scratch working general labor jobs.

No not wealthy but I have not risen in the general labor world. I wanted to be a commercial plumber boi I don't know any plumbers. I get up and go to work daily and I've tried to give myself more purpose.

Let's move on from this subject . I've been honest l. You disagree fine.

I can tell you these don't have work and lack of understanding of how to improve of their situation by learning at these jobs. I try to help

And l lump Hispanics in with black people with systemic racism because they've been subjected to predatory lending practices too even at present day. Take tinman's blaming of poor water conditions on the homeless in Austin in the other thread for instance. Most waste water goes to Hornsby Bend in Travis County.

    https://tpwmagazine.com/archive/2017/apr/ed_3_hornsbybend/index.phtml

    https://www.austintexas.gov/department/wastewater-treatment-plants

The poor neighborhoods in Hornsby Bend actually were dependent on non-potable well water for years despite housing a waste water treatment facility responsible for potable water for most of Travis County until local social justice advocates represented them. Local Austin officials were actually resistant to amending this issue until receiving pressure from social justice advocates.

    https://www.austininterfaith.org/first_house_gets_running_water_in_plainview_estates

    https://www.austinchronicle.com/news/2007-04-06/463098/

And that's an article from 2007. You'd think old news, but not so fast my friend.

    https://www.kxan.com/news/local/tra...r-call-for-accountability-of-utility-company/

Orange water from the water system installed since 2007.

Then you factor in other areas of Austin which is extremely developed that don't have a running water system and are also dependent on non-potable well water where they pay anywhere from $450 to $850 per month to use and notice it's primarily affecting the Hispanic community, it's hard not to want lump them in as well.

    https://www.statesman.com/article/20121127/NEWS/311279654
    https://www.statesman.com/news/2019...-las-lomitas-finally-get-water-after-20-years

I mean these homeowners were told over 20 years ago by the home builder that they would install a water system to the home owners only to fleece them and never deliver. And again there's still resistance and delays in actually fixing this issue from local politicians. And then when you look at all the Senate Bills meant to address predatory lending practices primarily affecting black and Hispanic communities that still haven't been passed despite being proposed back in 2017 and still meeting resistance from GOP politicians to amend this at present day, it's hard not to find it systemic for both communities.
