Except the Heat won't even get that far into the playoff.
Just remember that each of their production will come down a lot. Both LBJ and Wade are high volume shooters, I can't see how they will be as effective as before. They will each have about 20 PPG, but a far cry from the almost 30 PPG before.

Nest year they all become Joe Johnson in statistics. Who also makes more than Bosh and Lebron now.

The Rockets will have some tough competition, including the defending champion LA Lakers, Thunder, and other teams.....then the Heat.

Chances are slim, but I like adversity.

Shaq and Lebron fronting Yao means a wide open three for Martin, Battier, Brooks or Patterson.

    See how this works?

I know, a lot of people (many even on here) that don't believe we can win it all. But I think if Yao is healthy we can get it done. Would have been nice to have had Bosh along, but he didn't want to play for the Rockets....so screw him.
I'll settle for a full season of Healthy Yao anyway. Big fella needs to bring back a little swagger.....hanging on the rim. ;)

If Yao stays healthy, then Houston has a chance, with Orlando to be the next superfriends, as the 5 is the obvious weakness to the D-wade dance trio.

Don't get me wrong, I respect the Heat. They will be the team to beat, and every team will take it as a personal challenge to take on these young guys who think they are the best.

I cheer for the Rockets no matter what team they play, not matter how great the adversity.

    Someone call tinamn.

Oh, and just remember, you need bigs to compete in the east against Orlando, and the Celts. Not to mention LA and Houston. If they don't get any players that can rebound and surround that team with shooters, they are not winning anything this season.

With MLEs, a young core, and drafts (including the opportunity to buy picks), this team will only improve year in year out.

How are they gonna get stops? Defense wins championships. All looks good on NBA2k but this is real life. We'll see how it plays out. People are acting like this is three future lock hall of famers. I don't think so, maybe Lebron but he has no rings. They put more pressure on themselves to win then ever before. And we'll see if they can handle it.
Meanwhile the Rockets will be doing what every other team with true competitors will be doing. Trying win championships to break those chumps hearts because that would be the sweetest icing on the cake.

Any team besides the Heat the wins the NBA Championship, it is consider a choke job for the Heat. Please don't compare Rocks with Pip/Bark, or Fakers with Malone/Payton, both of the combos came when their career is winding down. What the Heat has done is picking up at least three of the best players on each team to 1 team. I hope Heat wins Championships and DWade becomes MVP each time, just watch the team disintegrate.

Man, it's going down, just like I said...

So now they won't or just can't play any type of defense? Come on, this team, as much as I hate to say it, is gonna wreck...I've book marked this thread in the hopes that i can one day eat crow...and gladly.

What pressure? The only pressure is from the media, you know, the Media that's saying all this so called pressure exists. Explain this mystical pressure please. They were obviously willing to take a pay cut, they are getting quality players...like so many homers on this board laughed at the idea, and tried to clown when myself and a few others said it was going to happen. You got three friends playing ball together, sounds like the exact opposite of pressure to me, sounds more like fun, and a return to playground basketball to me.

Pressure? For the rest of the league....

LMAO @ true competitors...When exactly did you or anyone else make the rules for what a TRUE COMPETITOR is? What exactly is so wrong with three friends wanting to play together? Why do so many people have this stupid ideology about Lebron HAVING to win in Cleveland and some absurd "legacy" idea. People take this crap way to serious, and way to personal. All this name calling, jersey burning, cursing players, and other childish crap is NOT what basketball is about.

I don't know what planet any of you grew up on, or how you played growing up...but i always loved playing ball with my friends. I didn't go to the park and play with random strangers because i wasn't a true competitor. To many have lost sight about what this is...

    A game, a simple game...

But I do agree, I hope the Rockets get a chance at them in the finals, as I also think the Rockets could give them a damn good series.

I can see PPatt being the vocal leader....
Others are leading by example but he seems to be a vocal guy, you heard it right. A rook.
