Most of the food I eat is extremely spicy. For comparison, I don't find the spiciest wing flavors of popular places to be excruciating like they make it out to be (atomic from wingstop, fire in the hole at Pluckers, Mario Hot at Wings N Things, etc)
I try to get spicy food every time I eat. If not, I'll throw some jalapenos, spicy jerk sauce, or crushed red pepper, hot sauce, etc. on it to give it a little kick.
I said 4. But rooster is much spicier than jalapeƱo, and the spicier Indian food is spicier than the hottest Mexican food, at least in my experience.
When I go to that Thai place on Richmond that everyone likes, I get 2.5 levels of spice, I think the max is 3. So pretty damn spicy. Lupe's 3 Pepper Steak is nothing for me. I usually need more wasabi with my sushi, and horseradish with my oysters.
Went to Wings N Things after the Texans game Sunday. I ordered 5 Mario wings along with other flavors. The waiter asked if I was sure because they were hot I said yes I've had them before. Asks again, again I confirm it. He then goes and gets a plate from the back with 1 Mario wing on it and tells me to try it before he puts in the order. I gave him a deer in the headlights look but ate it. He then proceeds to put in the order. My buddy ordered Mario hot as well but didn't have to try it before hand. That waiter got a ****ty tip.
If "Rooster Brand" you mean "Sriracha" that is made from jalapenos. I can eat pretty spicy and have eaten some of the spiciest cuisine in the World (Sri Lankan, Thai and Sichuan). Also have eaten a lot of hot Latin American and Cajun cuisine. Living in Minnesota though I always have to ask for and add more spice to my food when eating out. Plus I have to be very careful when cooking for people here. Those who remember my stint cooking ribs on local MN television they cut out the part where one of the anchors accidentally bit one of the seeds from the Thai peppers I was using and said she was about to die.
Speaking of genuinely spicy, Thai Spice on West 19th in the Heights. Order the L18 pad ped catfish. Now that's spicy.
Must be a policy now, I always get asked that now as well. But Wings N things is good. Wingstop and "brewings/wingsnmore" are garbage.
I can eat the mango habanero wings from Buffalo Wild Wings like nothing and everybody says they are way to spicy, they tripping.
