UT is so diverse that it is hard for one group to stand out or feel isolated.

Stupid ignorant f*cks. Embarrasses me to admit I went there. Fortunately I came to my senses and transferred to UT Austin to finish up.

But it doesn't surprise me. I remember one A&M class I was in, and the first day the professor introduced himself as Dr. Cheung. Some hick in the back yells out, "just call him Wang Chung!" This of course drew a sh*tload of unwarranted laughter.

Yeah, this stuff happens at many places, but that doesn't excuse it. And yeah, UT Austin has had its incidents too, but I know for a fact that it is a lot more tolerant than A&M.

I wonder how they'd feel if I threw a party on the day they would be having bonfire, mocking brainwashed, inbred, bigoted morons who blindly follow and defend stupid, pointless "traditions" to death and permanent injury.

    Uh...

I was in a fraternity (TKE) and I while I was embarassed of many of the things I did, if anybody in my fraternity had pulled this crap I'd have kicked their @ss, and I know that this would have happened if the same had happened in many of the other fraternities on my campus, even the ones I found to be filled with repulsive people. It's really a TAMU thing not a fraternity thing.

It is not a TAMU thing. It's not sponsored by the school or the dorm and not approved of by the majority of the student body. I'd never even heard of it.
