Where are the usual suspects to tell me how elite Bev's defense is stopping the almighty DJ Augustin?
And some idiots were trying to tell me that Bev stops elite point guards in the playoffs. Lmao. Just lmao.
Bev's energy disappeared once Lin got booted. Dude no longer plays with a chip on his shoulder and thinks the minutes are his now. Simply pathetic for what he's given us the past couple years.
Honestly. Beverley need's to be added to what ever trade package we're using to land a legit starting PG. His one redeeming quality was his defense and that has gone down the drain. Now he's just the worst starting PG in the NBA. The guy is even worse then some backups.
Detroit's backup point guard is loads better than any point guard we have. That says something. Bev's defense has slipped so much this season. Maybe that knee? But if he isn't hitting his threes or defending at an above average rate, he is of no use. McHale made the right adjustment by letting Harden be the point guard in the fourth instead of going with Bev or Terry when Canaan stunk it up. Unfortunately, I think that's the way it has to be unless they are hitting shots.
Wait guys, the better question is "how replaceable is Joey Dorsey?" haha, I don't know of another team that would start him... Oh and I think Bev would be better on 2nd unit, but whatever.
Bev again was never meant to be this team's starter, but Lin sucked so bad he was inserted into starting lineup. The mistake was Morey not doing a good job of shoring up the position in this past off-season instead of star gazing trying to build a dream team.
Bev's best defensive attribute is getting into his opponent's head. But I don't know if that's been the case lately.
Let me ask all you guys here. How many of you would include Bev in a trade package for Ty Lawson if the Nuggests insisted on having Bev?
