There were two controversial catches in game 4. Vern Ruhle's was the one that had a really long delay before it was determined he caught the ball and doubled the runner off first. The Astros were arguing for a triple play and the Phillies were arguing for a no catch and just an out to first base. The DP call stood as did the DP call on Leonard's catch.

That's right! That all sounds very familiar. I really, truly should revisit that series.

BTW, everyone should cross their fingers and send a lot of positive energy my way: I'm pitching an Astro piece to various publications that I hope will a) get picked up b) be wildly fun and entertaining.

That was also the game in which Keith Jackson was announcing OU/UT in Dallas and flew into Houston to start announcing the baseball game in the 4th inning. Also, UH and TAMU were scheduled to play shortly following that game. By the time it finished and the Astrodome was converted to football, the UH game started around 11:30 and lasted until around 2:30 AM. The stadium had to be converted back to baseball for game 5 (and we all know how that ended up :( ).

    I'm 28 or 29. Not 100% sure.

Started watching the Astros in the mid 90s. Stopped after the 2005 World Series. Partly because I shifted from a baseball fan first and foremost to a basketball fan first and foremost, partly because I moved away from Houston and could no longer watch games on TV, and partly because I just got sick of hearing about steroids. I didn't even really care about steroid use; I was just fed up with hearing about it.

And starting this year I've slowly been getting back into the Stros. I don't watch many games, but I read about them a lot. Just learning about the players and their strengths.

    34. Started watching occasionally around 91, started really following around 94. Dad isn't much into baseball so only went to maybe one or two games a year at the dome. I try to go to several games a year at MMP but have only been to a couple this year.

It had to be 83 when I went to little league day where we got to go on the field, do drills, meet players, etc. I specifically remember meeting Billy Doran that day. I've loved them without fail ever since.

Mid 20s and started watching them in the Dome since before I can remember. The Randy Johnson season is the first that comes to memory for me. Stayed with them through the thick and thin. It's safe to say that Astro baseball is also what made my dad and I close and still does to this day. Buying a 28 game pack and taking him to games is something that I had been wanting to do for years.

Third generation Astros fan in my early 40s (because, who counts anymore by now?).

My first game was in 79 or 80 and was a 7-1 loss to the Pirates. The 'Dome was my favorite place as a kid, but we lived far away so it wasn't but once or twice a year we got to go. My birthday, and maybe one other time.

I had a Tony Scott baseball card which was my favorite because of that massive afro.

35 been a fan since Biggio was a rookie. But I still have vague memories of "Astros Baseball, who says it's only a game?" from when my older brother was watching games on channel 20.

I was 5 years old. I lived in East Texas in a town called Crockett. So for my fifth birthdy, my Daddy, and my Grandfather, took me to Houston to See an Astros game.Being raised in the country, the biggest building I had ever seen was the three-story courthouse downtown. I was in amazement, I thought I was in the future, lol.

As soon as I saw the dome, I was absolutely fascinated. It is something I will never forget. Every since then I have a diehard Astros fan. A couple of years later my Daddy took me to an Oilers game. It was Moon's first year I think. The team was not all that great but I still loved them and become a diehard Oilers fan as well.
