when they are noticeably dirty, and/or stink.

sometimes they dont look dirty, but they stink, because I wore them 5-6 times.

but then it could after one day, if they have big food stains or just dirt stains.

    no doubt.

I wash clothes once a week, and if my jeans got worn that week, they get washed and tumble dried that week.

Then again, I also dont buy expensive jeans like I assume alot of you that are worried about them fading do. Its a rare day indeed that I pay more than 40 bucks for a pair of jeans.

I almost never wash my jeans. It's terrible for them. And my go-to jeans are all selvedge. I have a handful of beater jeans I wear to lake houses and the rodeo. I do wash those. Only after cookoff. I'm not washing anything I paid $200 for more than once a year max.

Every 2-3... Houston is humid, even in the winter - and I don't want crotch rot smell.

2-3 wears or ifim spill something on em. I don't like them to stink and they start to stretch out too much if I wear them so often

I used to work at Guess Jeans right when I got out of HS. They told us the trick to always keeping them from fading was to wash them regular side out, turn them inside out a and put them in the dryer for about half the time you would in regular clothes on medium to low heat. Take them out (still a little damp) and iron them pretty quick.

Jeans aren't like most fabrics where if they aren't completely dry, they start to smell funky in not worn immediately.

Seems to work for me. I was mine after every use and they never fade.

Also, this isn't 2003, and I'm not wearing Abercrombie Jeans anymore. The dirty look is well, dirty and not in style. Chicks don't dig that crap anymore. Keep your jeans clean and wrinkle free.

Call me crazy, but I think the charm of jeans is the fact that they become better as they are more worn as time goes on. I don't want a pair of jeans to look brand new and I don't want the stupid clearly fake aged look that was popular for a while.

There is a reason jeans resell for a ton, because if they are aged naturally - they look better and feel better too.

what other type of jeans are there? many of them have been stone washed, in a sense that would be faking aging also. I don't want jeans like jerry seinfeld either, too bright and 8 inches above the waste line:p

If you're worried about that after 2-3 times, you probably should worry about it after 1.

    About every 6 months...

But I only wear them once every week or two for part of the day on Saturdays.

Almost every time I wear them. I have large dogs that like getting me filthy every chance they get.

I wash when they're visibly dirty or if they smell. Obviously, if your sweating your ass off doing physical work in jeans you should wash them more than often. For someone that just wears them for a few hours indoors, they can last a good 2-3 weeks.

after about 7-10 wears before I wash them again. I like how they slightly shrink back to their original form
