Hardly ever. Unless I'm in the hospital or something where I absolutely have no access to my computer. I hate using cell phones for the internets, it just doesn't feel right.
I understand Tmobile is coming out with HSPA, which is not "true" 4G per se. With Sprint, 4G is very spotty in the Clear Lake area. In my office (6th floor), I'd get reception np, about 8-9mbit/s down. At home about 3 miles away, I'd sometimes get 4G on the 2nd floor, but it's unreliable at best. You don't notice the speed difference too much when browsing, but when you're downloading a 150MB file, just turn on the 4G and keep it plugged If you'll be using web a lot, I'd say Sprint, as I believe they have the only true "unlimited" bandwidth (with the $10 extra monthly) out of all the carriers. FYI, Froyo is 2.2
Verizon will have 4G next year sometime in April. They will launch their first 4G phone. Verizon will not have issues such as Sprint where 4G works in small areas of the city. Verizon is ramping up and have all the legal rights to towers that will have 4G.
When I had unlimited data, I'd only use it when I was on the can at work. I don't have a data plan at all now, so I never use it.
Whenever I have to wait for more than 1 min for anything; when I'm on the can; and sometimes during class.
A lot from my Nexus One, just wanted to chime in and say go ahead and get the Droid X, FroYo update got leaked today and I always take the chance to encourage somebody to buy a Android phone. FroYo Update: http://www.droid-life.com/2010/08/20/download-droid-x-android-2-2-for-all-users/
Everyday, literally, at work since I work in a call center so i cant browse on my PC, which has restrictins anyway off days, im on it when there are dead times when i'm out, waiting in line/for someone, etc.... on my Droid with 2.2 (Flash is flipping awesome)
Never. I purposely keep getting phones that are just phones, maybe with a decent built-in camera. Don't feel like paying a bunch of money per month to be able to have internet 100% of the time rather than 90% of the time. I like my tiny cell phone bill. Much like I don't get cable. I can't fathom why so many people who barely watch TV anyway take it as a given that they should just fork over like $70/month for cable.
dude cable is like $25-30 dollars a month?????
I use it multiple times every day. It's awesome and convenient. And really, i'm only paying about 25 dollars more than i would with sprint anyways...
I never have used it internet on a phone, If I want to use it I go to a computer, when Im in the street, I dont need to. But then again in this thread people gave good reasons to use it, and other are used to do it, so I respect that.
