About to change services and upgrade to a data plan with verizon. Thinking of getting the Droid X. The applications sound cool and i'm really excited about setting up sling box so i can watch tv on my phone, but just afriad that after all the money spent, i may not even use it much on the phone since i'm not out and about much other than being at work in my office which I have internet anyways.
I've started using it more recently. My girlfriend doesn't have internet, so when I'm at her place we occassionally need to look stuff up using my phone.
I have a Droid, and I use the internet all the time. The new software update Froyo rolled out yesterday, and its really cool too.
Funny you asked, some friends of mine were just talking about this yesterday...since a majority of sites get blocked here at work, we just use our phones...so in other words, quite a bit everyday... I have a mytouch and of course I loved it when it first came out, but after awhile, there is this expecation for it to be fast, like your desktop/laptop...unrealistic in my case, but very frustrating at times when it takes forever to load...
Rarely. I have the $10 plan, so I can't use it that much, and the browser on my EnV touch sucks. Would probably use a lot more if I had a Smartphone.
I've got a question(s), " How much faster is 4G than 3"? Real time, not statistically. Also, what carrier has the best 4g coverage in Southeast Houston/Texas? One more, lol..... "If I had a grand, what phone/carrier would you recommend to have a seamless, computer like connection"? ie. flash, pRon, pRon, that is hackable? I haven't had a new phone since my POS Omnia.
Just got my first smartphone last month and I use the internet all the time. Home email is blocked here at work, so it's a great way to check it throughout the day. Also I love being able to check the traffic before leaving somewhere to make sure I don't unknowingly drive right into the middle of a cluster**** traffic jam.
All the time. At work I disconnect the company LAN cable to the work PC and use my phone to get the internet.
The only thing my work blocks is fantasy sports. So I have learned to manage my teams through my cell phone.
Frequently, when I'm away from a computer. Trying to read the BBS on my iPhone, however, tends to give me a headache.
Old man eyes, bro, Jk.... I have to wear magnifying glasses to read the BBS at 26, lol. That or zoom it in 3 to 4 times, but then I can't see who's posting what
HTC EVO 4G w/ Froyo (android 2.0 and soon to be Gingerbread 3.0)..... Fast internet plus big screen = easy to post on the BBS !
