when I had bosses, every day... these days, every 4th day... me too, mach 3, and at every 4th day, they last a long time... I have to admit, I do have patchy facial growth...could never grow a full beard RR
- Always shave after showering...softens up the beard - Exfoliate. It's not just for chics - Don't rub the gel/foam too much, you work all the air out & it doesn't protect the face as well. Better yet, buy a badger hair shaving brush. - Change blades often, and yes they're really ****ing expensive. - For special occasions when you might be in close contact with the ladies, shave once with the grain, once against, and again with the grain.

I normally about 2 or 3 times a week, but I may have to begin doing it everyday. My school's pretty strict about facial hair, so I have to keep it clean. (man, I remember freaking out about it last year in a thread.) During summer or holidays I usually go about 2-3 weeks before I get mad at people telling me I'm hairy so I shave it off. Probably won't be able to go that long later in my life since I'll probably look like Santa then. Weird thing is I usually want to grow it out in defiance to school rules I had to follow, but I never actually do that. Oh yeah, I think mine is a Schick Xtreme 3. It came with a free handheld radio+headphones too.
I'm yet another with sensitive skin. I've finally figured out how I can shave every day without my face burning like I'm in a friggin' convection oven. I would agree about the razor. The Mach 3 is the way to go. Been using it for a couple of years and love it. About a year ago, I went to Foley's and decided to try this product line called Lab Series. I bought two products: a pre-shave solution, and shaving cream. Before, I had tried shaving after showering -- the whole 'soften the beard up' method. That wasn't enough for me, apparently. So, after doing that yet again, I would apply this pre-shave and let it work for about 2 minutes. Then I would put the shaving cream on over it and let the Mach 3 do its job. I haven't had the irritation or the redness on my face in over a year. Oh, there is another competing brand with Lab Series that I haven't tried yet. I'm sure it's just as good, though. I've just stuck with Lab Series because I've found it works for me. The pre-shave costs about $12. It's a very small quantity, but a little goes a long way.
Smeg now has a goatee, well since the Smeggy World Tour anyway, i shave the other parts of the face and trim the goatee twice a week
BEHOLD! All who use triple blade, Mach 3 Turbo, disposable, or Old Spice shaving chemicals: The NEW triple-blade system: http://www.universalgrp.com/main/face.php?C=men Also comes in triple-blade diposable: I need a new one; I hate Schick.
Has anyone that uses the Mach 3 figured out how to spontaneously start flying in a jet yet? Perhaps suddenly be grooving with a fine chick in space? I swear, if it doesn't happen soon I'm going to sue for false advertising.
Man, if we did a poll, Mach3 would win in a landslide. I go from one extreme to another depending on how i feel. I'll wear a beard for a year or so(or untilI get tired of it), and then I'll shave down to a goatee. I keep the goatee most of the time(as seen in the chop pics) and have to shave the surrounding area every 3 days or so. I dont have a job where they care..so sometimes I let it go longer. Just recently, I ran the trusty electric beard trimmer down the chin and now have a look like Paul Sr on American Choppers.. Looks kinda funny...but I like that. and also....price refills are waaay too expensive...but then again, if you think they are expensive, you should try getting replacement heads for those electric toothbrushes..
Mach 3. Every morning, after shower, with Edge gel, unless I'm going out at night. Then twice. DON'T go to the safety razor. I've done that, and the straight razor, for kicks. Big waste of time, nasty cuts and a crap shave. Get the quick, easy, minimally discomforting product. It's worth it.
Mach 3 Turbo. Wal-Mart "Equate" Edge Equivalent (same stuff), for sensitive skin. I've also found that the "tough beard" formulas will do about the same good as the "sensitive skin" type. I guess since the hair being cut, and not the skin is the issue, the tough beard type soften the hair more, whereas the sensitive skin type firms the face making the hair stand up even more than regular. And anytime I want to "feel the burn" I just use my Remington Microscreen... "shaves as close as a blade, or your money back." Is true... a SINGLE blade. Can't even claim to touch a MACH 3 though. Triple blade is the key to comfort. btw- I shave on Saturday night, and Tuesday night without fail (due to church on Sunday and Wednesday)... and any other day before an important meeting or event. Sometimes every day. And it's not fun.
how old are you guys? I have to shave every day and sometimes twice and still have a five o'clock shadow by 3 o'clock.
