Anyone have an educated guess? You have to be 18 or older. I have a computer interview with them in an hour and Im not sure how much to tell them I want an hour. How much do you guys think I can get out of them?

hell no... they wouldnt pay minimum wage for a job where you have to be 18+ when the Kroger right next to them hires at 15 1/2 and pays $6.50 an hour. No way. By the way. in NC it was $5.15 an hour, Im not sure if min. wage is the same nationwide or not.

Most places tend to pay about $6.25, maybe as much as $7 to start, no matter the age, if it's your first job. As a photo attendant, though, you aren't going to make much more than that...it's just not a high paying job in a drugstore environment.

Judging by the wardrobe, I'm guessing minimum wage is about right, but if you can hang in there ten or fifteen years, you should be able to break the ten bucks an hour barrier.

On the part that says "salary requested" write "Open", meaning you are open to negotiate. Don't worry they'll tell you how much they are willing to pay.

Perhaps you should start another 200 pointless threads. I'm sure Persistence gains acceptance.

what do you and BGM have against me? No, I won't call them queer. I think I'll try and be more of a Mr. T. type of conversationist.

Ummmmmm .....I hate to break it to you, but if you start making salary demands to Walgreens, they will probably not hire you.

Being 18 with no college education yet and making salary demands is not a good combination. :)

Its a trick question really. They know in the back of their minds how much they are going to pay you. So when they ask you, they are not asking you what you want to make so that they can make you the right offer. They want to know if your pay requirements are going to be unrealistic and if its worth it to hire you. If they know they can only pay you $7/hr. and you say $10/hr., well then they probably will shy away from you because they know you will quit as soon as you find something that pays more than what they will.

    What he said.

Everyone'll ask you what your salary requirements are. "Open," or "negotiable" is a good way to go. I woulnd't expect more than $7.50/hour, and I think that's a rather high salary....who knows. Just be open and don't be unrealistic.
