I would rather keep McGrady and his expiring contract then to trade for an aging pg who is 36 years old and doesn't fit our system. Also Nash and Barbosa have years left when we can use McGrady's contract and basically get whoever we want. Also its a win win situation for both sides. If McGrady is healthy then the whole league better watch out. If he is not then we have all of his 23 mil to ourselves.

Id rather have a hand in the 2010 lottery than make that trade with the Suns.

Taxes in Europe are even higher. Is there some way to get play in Europe tax free. If that was the case, everyone would play in Europe.

Contracts in europe are tax free men, just check around, the teams pay the taxes, and the contract given to the player is tax free.

Not in some, any country under the European Community scenario, those Clubs in those countries pay the taxes and the contract to the player is TAX FREE, at least that´s the way it is in basketball.

If you are given for example a 1 million euro contract, the team gives you that million and ANOTHER half a million to the country as tax.

That´s why is so hard to bring players from overseas right now, because the euro has gone stronger and being tax free contracts they can match NBA contracts for so-so players.

I think the best payed player in europe is Theodoros Papaloucas who is payed 4 million euros per year, tax free, that would be equivalent to a 7.397.580 million dollar contract for a year in the NBA.

    Maths are [4.000.000 * 1,3305]*1.39=7.397.580

    Number being
    4.000.000 Raw Euro Contract
    1.3305 Dollar Conversion
    1.39 NBA TAX Addition
