We should go for Dwight Howard first.

It's a dream to get D. Howard, but the reality is that we should get a center close allstar

    Dwight Howard is realistic.

    He trained with Hakeem!

It needn't be an either/or situation. We can make a play to acquire M. Gasol. If and when Howard leaves Orlando, who's to say we can't use M. Gasol as a center piece for the trade? At the very least, he can be used in a multi-team trade to get the pieces we may need to get Howard. If M. Gasol keeps up the performance, it's a win/win situation whether we get Howard or not rather than just watching this opportunity pass us by.

I'd only reconsider making a play for M. Gasol if by some chance Howard prematurely goes in the open market at the same time (doubtful). Otherwise, we just stack the deck in our favor for the D. Howard/CP3 sweepstakes with a true center.

agreed on Dhoward, we have young pieces, there is no way we can compete with NJ or La lakers even bc they can do a bynum or brook lopez, and those are centers who can anchor a team and while we have great young pieces, nothing to compare to that which will help them rebuild much faster. So Dhoward is just incredibly unlikely unfortunately.

Marc gasol is also pretty unlikely. Even if its 14 million, they have to match, once they taste winning, they know they put fans in their seats, they think they have a winner especialyl the way they are playing in the playoffs, tehre is nothing that will make them break this up this summer
