    Impressive work.

However [IMG], I think you neglect that the players start from a different base (at least compared to me, I don't know about you.... [IMG])...to say a player is "getting screwed" because he gets a raise of 300,000 instead of 500,000, when he starts from a base of 5 mio. something...I'm not so sure if most of us wouldn't mind getting screwed like that...

Rockets' offseason tasks in order of priority:
    • Get rid of Cato under any circumstances - ideally in a trade (with draft picks from us to them) that brings us Raef LaFrentz (dreaming).
    • Re-Sign Hakeem.
    • Re-Sign Mo Taylor.
    • Re-Sign Moochie and AirBullard.
    • Pick up the Langhi option for another year.
    • Sign-and-trade Shandon Anderson for Bo Outlaw.

This whole thing about comparing FA offers to the money that Cat makes is ridiculous. If you pay everyone pay there worth relative to Cat, no one will play for you. Mobley screwed himself in signing his contract; his contract does not reflect his market value (even at the time of signing) so why should other Rockets be held to it? Comparing talent may be a useful rule of thumb, but only using players who are paid commenserate to their worth.

    How about this...

1)Dream...sign and trade him for some cap filler that expires after this year (the Indiana deal for Perkins and Mckey would make sense here)

2)Mo Taylor...let him sign in Detroit. I personally don't think he is THAT much better than Kenny Thomas (call me crazy but we ain't winning the west with either guy)

    3) Moochie...give him 2-2.5 per yr for 3 or 4 yrs

4)Bull...give him his million or so per year because this guy may have a little more value now with the new zone defenses

5)Shandon...let him whine about touches elsewhere

This may sound frivalous...however, cap room is SO important to a team nowadays, why not just save it for a rainy day (raining quality free agents that is) so we don't screw up like we did with C Web. I don't care if people say he was never leaving Sac-of-Tomatoes, we should have at least tried!!! Lets not make the same mistake twice.

I have season tix to the Knicks ( I see it first hand) and it amazes me that they chase their own pathetic free agents with boatloads of money.

If Mo T gets more cash then the Cat, it would be a joke!

Mo Taylor is better than KT. He is still young and has far more potential. He has the body and skills to play the PF spot. He just needs to be more aggressive on the boards. KT is somewhat the opposite. He tries hard on the boards but just doesn't have the size. You can't teach size. Giving him a 6 year $36-38 million is a bargain just wait and see.
