I Am Utterly Shocked as to how I could be on someone's Ignore list. The most UNAMERICAN thing on this board would be not to open our minds and ears, simply because the opinions expressed do not fit the norm. This is the land of freedom of speech, and that freedom of speech would probably get you hanged or arrested by secret police in most Middle Eastern/Muslim countries. America is by far the greatest country in the world. Does that mean it is perfect? I don't think so, and as Americans it is our duty to analyze the actions of our government that we elected and that works for us to represent us. Every single opinion I have ever stated was in the best interests of the furthering financial, political and social success of the United States of America. And for NCSTATEFAN, one of the most respected men I have ever studied and one of the founding fathers of our country named Benjamin Franklin once stated that those who give up freedom to achieve security achieve neither. If you think rounding up any Middle Eastern looking people and muslims and placing them in holding cell's then you are contradicting the basis in which this country is founded. If someone has questionable VISA status, then fine, but holding someone for months on a charge of suspicion with no evidence is what would happen in a dictatorship like many of these Arab/Muslim countries, now if this is what you want to see become of our nation than so be it. There are over 5 million muslims in this country and it is the fastest growing religion in the world. Many of these muslims were born and raised in America and have lived here for generations. As they are becoming more a part of this melting pot we call America it is important to realize the ramifications of the actions you wish to implement.

The FAA shouldn't have allowed box cutters or knives on planes to begin with. That's what was negligent, among other things. How does a man on a terrorist watch list get allowed on a plane? There was all kinds of idiotic stuff going on that let this stuff happen. And that's not even going into the Al Gore was head of a commission on aviation security in 1998 kinda thing which is some of the specific "liberal" stuff that NCSTATEFAN might be alluding to.

ZERO DOLLARS, ZERO CENTS It amazes me that people think that they are due money for for almost everything. what would happen if something truely terrible happened?? what if we lost a million people in a war?? do we all give them millions of dollars?? So the US detains 500 out of 5 million. What is that like .0001 of the ME population? Now, you make this sound as though it was just a hat draw on who was detained. Did you personally know anyone that was detained? And these liberties are for citizens, not illegals with ; expired passports, expired visas, and with histories of involvement of radical organizations, or attended pilot school BUT ONLY LEARNING HOW TO STEER, NOT LAND. But we should let all of them go free right? Yeah, no one saw them do anything, no witnesses, so just let em go.... what the hell..... Simply I disagree with your point. But thanks for sharing it. To be honest, I always thought by detaining anyone questionable, the greater good of protecting of the ME community was at stake. I am glad they detained suspects. I AM GLAD no followups attacks occured. I want peace within the ME community, but the stability of relations certainly would have crashed had attacks continued. Hate crime were already happening..... Well I could go on longer explaining this, but the distance in view is so far apart...... I do respect your post, and your attempt to communicate without making a joke of my statements.
