I would agree with that as well. What I would not agree with is anyone projecting those people upon others who actually are in need (I'm not saying that's what anyone is doing). I'm guessing that those people F.D. Kahn saw are the vast minority of the poor in this nation.

I think a lot of those people also know they can find ways to get free food, etc. Instead of buying groceries themselves, they let whatever assistance out there foot the bill so they can 'save their money' to buy 'luxury' items. I saw someone at the grocery store recently buying LOBSTER w/ food stamps. I've also seen someone get 2 weeks of groceries from a church, only to skip out on their rent, leaving almost all the food there to waste. And this was a couple who was totally healthy, but would only work maybe 30 hrs a week COMBINED. It's amazing.

And I'm not saying everyone is abusing the system. I'm know there are plenty of people who have been through crazy circumstances who need it. Another example: I know a woman in her 60's who still works. She makes enough for herself. Now she's taken on her daughter's two kids, because (long story, short -> she's a crack head) the state has taken away her custody priveleges for good.

He said 'if you think about'. So the secret is to not think about it and just keep camping out for those hot items.
