Zero. I have no debt other than my home mortgage and I will NEVER use a credit card again...ever.

Usually zero although I had a balance for about 2 years or so. Fortunately, I was lucky that I was able to sell some *gulp* comic books to get it paid off.

So it has been zero for over a year; however, it is going to go to around $3K as I am taking a trip out of the country at the end of December. It would be great if I didn't have to use it for that, but sometimes you have no other options in those scenarios. I am guessing that my income tax refund check will pay off a good portion of it - at least I hope.

What about us dumbasses who paid for college on our own and had to use student loans to pay our tuition and credit cards for eating and necessities?

I was one of those dumbasses. If i would have planned correctly, i probably could have worked it out so that i wouldnt have had a 2000 credit card bill...

coz when you have a credit card, its not always just necessities, its movies, games, tickets to rockets games, gas gas gas, etc etc...

    but anyways, w/e.

    credit cards are teh devil

Man, ours was HORRIBLE. My wife and I moved down here with nothing but credit cards 10 years ago. We had to buy everything with them, including rent a few times. We went with a debt consolidation company that got us back on track and are now just about paid off. We are now finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and our only big bills are law school, house and truck (which are 10x more than our credit card debt ever dreamed of being. :( ).

true. I did buy rockets tickets on my credit card when I was in college and broke.

I thought that when I got out of school I would make a ton of money and that I could pay that debt off in 6 months or so. It took me about 3 years, but its gone now. I had about 8k racked up in credit cards and another 15k in student loans.

    i wish!

"only" two weeks. coming back right before christmas. ive traveled all over mexico, but never been to europe. flying in and out of amsterdam and planning to go to berlin, prague, southwest germany and cologne as well. im traveling by myself, so im leaving my schedule pretty flexible - i could go to london or i could go to switzerland instead. or course, i might eat mushrooms and smoke hash for 2 weeks straight and never make it out of amsterdam.

either way, im sure it will be a blast!
    have fun on yours too!
