    My wife's employer is an oil man and all his experts are predicting the price to continue to fall through the winter as the "shortage" weakens. One of the main reasons that you've seen the price fall so much in the last month is that the EPA summer formulas are gone for the year, so the gas is much cheaper to produce.

    Reg Unleaded in Tucson is around $2.43.

    2.29, one place is at 2.19... so i'm guessing that san marcos will be down to 2.19 soon, just a guess.

    Why doesn't Houston have the lowest prices? With (literally) stinkin Pasadena right next to us, why are prices lower in other cities?

    I'm sure costs in podunk towns are cheaper like land and buildings.

    State and Local taxes differ from place to place. Taxes make up 30-50% of a gallon of gas, so it can vary the price widely.
