i guess you believe all 131 of those kids that died were suicide bombers huh... well if they were the news paper would definitely not leave those deaths out.

 

Do you have an actual link to the NY Times because this JC Denton style graph claims that this is from the NY Times, but the picture is linked from an anti-Israel propaganda site.

You blame one side only. I'll blame both.

The picture shows the culture at which these children are raised. I am not saying that the death of children is anything to laugh about or flaunt. It's happened on both sides.

It's a pure propaganda war and the Palestinians are winning with the help of the Israeli government taking hardlined stances that only flame the fire.

i guess it ain't that hard to convince kids to become mayrtrs when their house gets blown up along with their mommy and daddy...

When I was in Afghanistan our roe and CAS(close air support) was so strict because we did not want to unintentionally kill someones kid, or dad, or mom because i don't know.... i guess its human nature to be pissed at someone after you kill their mom.

 

the thing is you say it happens on both sides but why does one side have the greater amount(by a large margin) of civilian casualties yet the other side needs more protection.

You say both sides are at fault which is true... but doesn't it make sense for the more responsible and established government(Israel) to lay off first... but then you would say it wouldn't matter because Hamas only cares about the total collapse of the Israeli government which is true... But guess what, if Israel would lay off and "be the better man" I guess less and less Palestinians would vote for Hamas to stay in power...

 

Did you see the Mickey Mouse youtube clip? The Israelis do not indoctrinate their children like that about the other side. Do you really think that when people get brainwashed from such an early age like that, that they will stop seeing Israel as the enemy that must be destroyed if Israel "lays off and is the better man"? Or will they rather see it as a sign of weakness they must exploit?

There have been moments of "laying off" (leaving Gaza) and then you get escalation by outside sources (kidnapping of Gilad Shalit, hezbollah and the lebanon war) and then an emboldened Hamas firing rockets.

Hamas has no intention of peace... their existence is based on war with Israel which is why Israel does not negotiate with them.

 

I guess its one of those "its so crazy it might work!" scenarios... How can you know if they never tried it... Ya most Palestinians hate Israel... but most of them have lives that they want to move on with in better conditions also

To answer your question - because not only Palestinians are after Israel, but Iran, Syria, etc. as well.

 

2 reasons:

1. Iran - Ahmedinejad's threats towards Israel.
2. Hezbollah/Syria - Financed by Israel and war hardened by the Lebanese War. They are waiting for the right situation to lure Israel into another war.

 

Well times that picture by 1449 compared to 142 Israeli children deaths.
