Austin Powers: Not the time to lose one's head. Vanessa Kensington: No. Austin Powers: That's not the way to get ahead in life. Vanessa Kensington: No. Austin Powers: It's a shame he wasn't more headstrong. Vanessa Kensington: Hmm. Austin Powers: He'll never be the head of a major corporation. Vanessa Kensington: Okay, that'll do. Austin Powers: Okay. I am really impressed by him, but in gauging how much he's improved, I have no point of reference to start with. I think he is really good at what he does, and I'm excited to see the role he plays later in his career. I just hope Houston doesn't trade him.
Better with his long range shooting so far for sure. Head shot the ball good last year beginning of the season also and tailed off the 2nd half so its about if he keeps it up the whole year to really say he's improved. His handles are decent, point-guarding decision making not so. A point guard should not have the ball get stolen from him at the top of the key by Dale Davis. (Which leads to a 2 on 1 break with your star player in foul trouble the only guy guarding them).
His shot is better than rafer's right now. Rafer is too inconsistent in a bad way. Either he's consistenly shooting well one night or consistently shooting bad one night.
I haven't read the original post yet, and I haven't read any posts .. after reading the title though, I can say this: Head has improved his shooting and ability to finish under the basket.. I am was a big hater of Head since we drafted, but now I think he might be alright for a backup 2 when we are playing small.. However, after watching the last 3 games, I found out that Head is one of many reasons for our meltdown in the 3rd and 4th... dont get wrong though, I am not saying that Head is responsible for this, I think JVG is responsible because he is making Head run the point (not his natural position).. Head is not a PG, it's not his position! he turns it over so much and for some reason he stops shooting well when he runs the 1.. I know that JVG doesn't have many choices for backup PG, but I still dont think playing Head at 1 down the stretch is not a good idea.. I would suggest playin him earlier in the 2nd quarter (where Alston can get some rest) and then give Alston another rest in the end of the 3rd by making Tmac run the point... what really bothers me is the fact that we are not using Luther the right way.. he can be a very important piece in the team if he just plays the 2.. one thing that surprised me is his finishing abilities under the basket..
