    $0.00

My commute is from my bedroom downstairs to my office. When there's a snowstorm sometimes I like to watch the traffic report for fun.

    I ride my bicycle.

    Cost of bicycle = $40

Breakfast to get energy to ride my bike everyday to work = $2-5ish

this sounds like those visa commercials.

    2[{2.72/24} * 5] = 1.13 - School

    2[{2.72/24} * 8] = 1.81 - Work

    In the SuperCrew...

    2($2.39/17)*7)=

    $1.97

But I don't only drive to the "office"... I put probably 17,000 to 20,000 mpYear on a car...

My wife's car (Aveo) gets 30 mpg... so

    2($2.39/30)*13)=
    $2.07

It's close to equal for both of us...

This is good to know so we don't trade vehicles on "office only days" but I may start switching with her on other days to save some loot... ;)

My wife had to use a toll tag until she recently was transferred (and promoted).

In essence we just got a $693 bonus each year because the distance is the same, and she actually has a "negative" commute now (meaning on the side of the road with little to no traffic going and coming in and out of town) and can actually achieve better than 30 mpg on average, due to more consistent speed at or about 55 mph...

So we may be saving even more for that (I didn't consider that in my initial post about her car's mileage). I haven't figured the mileage out yet for the new commute, still too small of a sample of receipts to know.

Btw - Who is using this little tool here?---> http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx

    Cost = 2{[(2.60)/(21.5)*(30 miles to work)] + tolls $2.00}

    $11.25!!!

edit: Plus Parking for downtown at night. Can be free or up to $8.00 if there is a Rockets game and all the parking around STCL is taken.

That can't be right, can it? Holy Crap!
