Pizza 2 - 5 dollars. If it is raining I will tip higher Haircut - 5 - 6 dollars for the person who cuts and 1 - 2 dollars for the person who washes. Restaurant - Usually 20% service can increase or decrease it. Sonic or other fast food - $1 - $3 plus change, sometimes a little more.
Min $2.... except places like sonic .. they might get the change. I used to do about 20%. Doing a short stint of waiting, i have since changed my mind. Usually no less than $3.00 (that leaves you at $20.00 meal) and no more than $5.00. If I goto an expensive steak house and get a bottle of wine, im only going to tip you on the work you've done, not on the price. Taking my order, filling my drink once or twice, bringing my food and handing me my bill ... thats the same service I get at chilis. If you want a 20% on my 50.00 meal, you better work your ass off. While I may get exceptional food, its the chef/cook who should be tipped.
if the girls hot AND NICE at the same time.....then the tip jar gets a raise from 15%....in all other cases usually around the 15%. (i'm a student so i have to be careful with where money be going) my hair stylist is HOTHOTHOT....she makes my wallet leak like the levees in New Orleans.
In a restaurant usualy 20% or a little more than that if the service & food are great. My hair lady charges 7 and I giver her 9 or 10. Pizza delivery usually 2 - 3 bucks. Fast food brought to the car a buck + change available At a buffet a buck unless I'm there with the family and the kids make a mess. At a topless bar... well that depends... I never go unless it's a bachelor party and now that all my friends are married I never go.
Pizza - I never get it delivered, so not sure what I would tip. Haircut - Usually, 25 percent. He's good at it. Restaurant - I don't calculate. When I've thought about it, it almost always ends up being between 20-30 percent. Fast food - I never know what to tip at Sonic. That confuses me.
Pizza: $0 usually Haircut: $0 (Takes my barber exactly 9 minutes. No kidding) Fast Food: $0 Buffet: $0 Restaurant: 15-40%. Depends how much I spend and how good the service is. If the service is outstanding, I tip very very well. My wife objects sometimes.
Is anybody paying attention??? He asked *assuming GOOD SERVICE!!! no tip for pizza boy. 15% or $2.00 at restaurant, whatever is higher. Haircut: at least $1.
??? ??? Now why in the hell would you tip the people at Starbucks? Aren't you already paying a ton of money for the coffee?
I hope you people who don't tip pizza boys enjoy spit-flavored pizza. Those guys actively keep track of the people who stiff them. You might not want to order from the same place too many times.
I don't tip because society says I gotta. I tip when somebody deserves a tip. When somebody really puts forth an effort, they deserve a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, that ****'s for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doin their job.
I think tipping tells a lot about the character of a person. I tip a minimum of 15% no matter what happens, and if the service is great then i'll give more. Greed is the worst of the seven deadly sins IMO. Also, it is better to give than receive.
One time in New Orleans, I won $1400 in a slot machine then we went out to dinner and the bill was $44. I left the guy a $100 and to me it was a great feeling just knowing that i may have made his night. Maybe he had a bad day at home, maybe he had a bad day at work, but for that moment in time and possibly for the rest of the night I cheered him up. If I were filthy rich, i'd do that type of thing everyday. There is no better feeling.
i dont get all the tip jars at fast food/coffee shops/sandwich shops. traditionally, one tips for service, not for the act of preparing the sandwich/pouring the coffee you ordered. the tip jar at fast food seems much more prevalent in austin than other cities. all the lazy hippies up here. i guess if you get one of those fancy coffees that take a couple minutes to make than a tip is in order, but for a regular cup o' jo, jo mama says NEVER!!!
I don't mind tipping at the restaurant or for delivery boys. But sometimes the tipping just goes out of hands, especially in the hotel business, you feel like owe everybody money when you stay at a nice hotel.
A pizza delivery? ($3-4, bad weather $5) If took longer time then usual, then is $2. Haircut? ($5-8) washer $3-4, (If got a little head massage $5-8.) Restraunt? (atleast 25%, min $3 ) Fast food brought to you? ($) [we have to tip in fast food places?
