I knew he was bad, but Christ...$50 mil a year? Maybe he’s even worse behind closed doors

I mean, Harden is still going to make 48M in 2023, wouldn't that extension start right there? If so, he's not really leaving money on the table but he's keeping control over his future.

Actually 103 million. They were talking over 50 mill per year for 2 years.

Tries to throw $100 mil to keep him when it’s too late but doesn’t spend to help get a supporting cast to help get you over the top.

Lmao you can’t make these things up

take it on whichever level you prefer...

According to Spotrac Harden has made $224,349,734 in his career which is 8th among active players. When you add in his shoe deal with Adidas we're talking probably close to 300 million. It seems nuts to us to turn down this kind of money but it seems like at this point Harden is more concerned with winning titles and his legacy and he is firm in his belief he is not going to get that title in Houston.

So Tilman wouldn’t resign Ariza 15 million and instead the Rockets get Ennis for 2 million.

Rockets have to pay a team to take Ennis and two years later they trade for Ariza and pay him 15 million.

That is the most Tilman thing ever.

    do the math...

i'd imagine in 3 years Harden can probably still sign another max deal @ 34 yo... vs 5 years from now he probably wont be able to secure a max deal...
so 5 yrs of max money + whatever you can get at 36 yo...
or 3 years of max money + then another max contract @ 34 yo... 2? 3? 4 years? how desperate will a team be?
as long as that next contract is more than 2 years - he's probably making a buttload more money in total...

so does he wanna sign another max contract (like CP3) and ride out his career at max money (like Kobe) - or be looking for Joe Johnson money at the end...

Sure, but he knows he'll get those as soon as he's traded, right now for him it's obviously more important to keep the leverage to get out of here.

i'm saying that reporters can hate someone so much that their willing to compromise their integrity just to smear the guy...

so hating someone so much u r wiling to forfeit a payday = hating someone so much u r willing to sacrifice your integrity...

since this is the Rox forum... lets say its about reporters pushing false narratives about Harden just bc they dont like him...

    ;) lol
