How much do you continue to identify with Houston?

    been in DC for over 5 and away from Houston for 11.. but definitely still tell people that's where I'm from. Don't see how that can change.. just like I can't "pick up" a new NBA team besides the Rockets, I can't suddenly identify myself with a new city. DC is my home, but Houston is where I'm from, I guess.

    Been to California twice in the last two years and they don't seem to care for Texans. I did go to Florida recently and they seemed to like Texans. For me, it's about distancing myself from the Republican/Christian/Confederate/loudmouth reputation Houstonians (rightfully) have.

    Not me. I stayed in Los angeles for 2 months last summer and when I got back to Houston I got depressed...
