    crack crack crack crack CRACK.
Willis does NOT bench 450. These guys are tall and SKINNY. They look like they have these HUGE muscles(Willis Arms) , but they are not thick by any means. Useless unfounded internet babble is just that - garbage.

If you look at Willis' NBA.com profile it says that one of his hobbies is weightlifting. He weighs 245 lbs. Being able to bench one's weight is a fair measure of strength. Being able to bench 1.5 times one's weight is awesome. I wouldn't doubt that he could bench 400. 450 might be questionable.

    DanTanna,

It says right in his NBA bio that he benches 400 lbs.

    Kevin Willis

He may or may not have benched more than that at some point, I'm looking into it...

The skinny wide-receiver for the Miami Dolphins, Mark Jackson used to outlift linemen and linebackers at the NFL Superstars competition.

    Regarding Kevin Willis :
    http://nba.com/playerfile/bio/kevin_willis.html (400 lbs and a 4.5 minute mile)
    http://tsn.sportingnews.com/voices/daily_diary/19980115.html (420 lbs)

How about some other "skinny" players :

    Aaron Williams (6'9" 225 lbs PF) presses 380 :

    Jamaal Mashburn over 300 :

Michael Dickerson (from a not-so-reputable site probably) over 325 :

During an interview, Avery Johnson says he can bench press 250 lbs :

    Actually,
Ive heard that about Avery for quite some time now. And I believe it. Why? Well, benching is more than just how big you are. OF course, that is a main part of it, but did you ever hear how when SHAQ first came into the league he couldnt even bench 200. Because, a)hed never done it consistently before, b)benching requires a wide variety of chest, arm, and back muscles that he didnt have at their best level/in coordination and c) Shaq has long arms.

MAybe not anymore, but Avery Johnson used to be a very fit, strong man fo rhis size, he probably benched regularly, and most importantly in his case, his arms are short. That means that the distance he has to bench that 250 isnt nearly as far as someone say like D.Robinson. Thats why I believe the A. Johnson thing at least.
