It seemed like a good idea at the time. The vast majority of that debt (credit card and otherwise) was for my wife and I to get our law degrees. Little did I know that I would get laid off 18 months later. So now I'm a heavily leveraged, unemployed attorney. (holds up sign) Will sue for food. With any luck one of my leads will pan out over the next few weeks. Then we can live off my wife's salary and pay off debt with mine.
