I'm a former Houstonian who hasn't lived there in a long time and am making a trip out there coincidentally during first round of the playoffs. Just wondering: 1. How much is the usual lower bowl playoff ticket for round 1? 2. When are we able to buy tickets?
I think my buddies and I shelled out 100+ each for seats behind the basket in the upper section for Game 1 vs the Mavs in 2015. So I would imagine 2 years later, lower bowl tickets would be at least if not substantially more than that. BTW, they also jack up parking fees when the playoffs start. 5 dollar lots go up to 10, 10 up to 20, and so on and so forth. So if you are planning to go to a game, arrive early.
Is it possible to get playoff tickets the day of the game? During the regular season, I usually buy my ticket like an hour before tip off after the prices have dropped and I'm usually able to find a pretty good seat in the lower bowl for around $70.
I suppose. Depends on the game. I'll bet Game 4 vs the Warriors in 2015 wasn't tough to get tickets for considering the Rockets were down 0-3 and coming off of an embarrassing ass-whooping in Game 3(plus the weather that night likely scared off some folks). Game 7 vs the Clippers in the previous round however was likely a quick sellout.
They posted this yesterday in the evening. " The playoffs are right around the corner and your Rockets have clinched home court advantage in the first round! Secure access to playoff ticket pre-sales by signing up to become a Rockets Insider today! Sign up NOW: http://www.nba.com/rockets/INSIDER"
Maybe for a season ticket holder, but it's the playoffs we are talking about. Behind the basket playoff tickets are around $250 a piece. Upper sideline are around $140 a piece.
During the rd1 against Mavs in 2015, I got tix for ~80 each in the upper bowl. It was the WCF that raped me without lube. Shelled out 300 each after we beat Clips, only for my cousins to get tix to the same game (game2 of WCF) on game day for 25 each -__-
I never park in a lot when I go to a game. If you park several blocks away and walk you don't have to pay and you don't get stuck in the post-game traffic.
What happens when they actually sell out though? Do they break out some plastic chairs and stick you in the aisles?
