How many wins do you think we would have right now if Tmac was in the lineup?

McGrady was the cause of a number of losses last year. If we tried to play him into form it's logical to assume we'd be in the same boat. Even considering how poorly Ariza has played I'd speculate we'd have more losses than we currently do. However is someone could use a magic wand and 'poof' we had 2005 McGrady we would have had considerably more wins.

I'll second that opinion! Especially now that he would have to be playing the Adelman way!:p

If T-Mac is mad at the Rockets, he should be practicing a lot lately so that when he is traded they have something to regret. He should be in much better shape by now. If a trade does not happen, it is DUMB to pay your best player six times more than the next highest paid player and continue to bench him for the rest of the season.

After the deadline, T-Mac better come to the organization, say he is ready to play and forget everything in the past. If it doesn't happen, this season will continue to go the way it is going. Nowhere.

This thread is hillarious!! some of you still love to hate this guy and he isnt even on around the Rockets anymore.

A healthy McGrady = more wins then what we have now. He may not be the Tmac of 3 years ago but IMO still has enough talent to himself and others involved.

I'd say about 4-5 more wins... There were a few games that got away at the end where the rox had no one to close out the game. Mac could still be that person to draw a foul and make clutch free throws (I know he wasn't the best free throw shooter)

I agree, but McGrady wasn't healthy when they decided to bench him back in December. No objective viewer that knows a lick about basketball or what made him the player he was in the past would say he was. The kiss of death as to why Adelman didn't want to give McGrady minutes was obviously, how little he can play defense.

I mean, even Vince Carter, who was slow in acclimating with the Magic, burnt McGrady at will when he was guarding him in the Orlando game. Never mind, Carmelo Anthony erasing nearly a 10 point Houston lead and stacking almost 10 more on us (which ended up being the point difference at the end of the night), during the space McGrady came in during the Denver game.

All this talk about McGrady giving us wins, based on his previous points average, never takes into account, defense is where the team gets it wins, not blowing teams out and the fact is with McGrady you'd have a hole on the perimeter usually, that any athletic swing man would be able to beat him and that mean more losses then victories.

    about the same.

maybe a few wins more given some of the injuries.....and teams being able to front Landry at will.

But he's gone.......time to move on.

I say the Rockets would be worse off in the long run.

Idk but it would be nice to know but my thing is why are guys arguing. Plz how many guys just coming off micro-fracture made an impact right away?? I would love to know that answer.

Amare comes to mind as a player that made an immediate impact. However, Amare was much younger and didn't have as many repetitive injury problems.
