I eat typically twice a day. But I also drink... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DSeZxjLhxV4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DSeZxjLhxV4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
3 square meals a day. Breakfast - cereal (usually either shredded wheat or honey bunches of oats) and a banana Lunch - Veggie sandwich with a bag of chips, and tea Dinner - varies, but I usually work out after work, so it's almost always a large meal. I'm 5'8 155
Medium/light breakfast Medium lunch Snack Light/Medium dinner (depending on how big my snack is) When I go out to eat its typically for a heavy lunch or dinner. 6'0" 160 lbs.
Breakfast - MRP shake Lunch - Ham on whole wheat, Sunchips, sugar-free pudding, green tea Dinner - whatever, try to stay healthy (whole-wheat pasta, turkey burger on whole-wheat, chicken fajitas on whole-wheat tortillas) I eat pretty healthy during the week, but it's the porking out on the weekends that kills me. While it's almost never more than one meal a day, it's usually at a restaurant and usually tex-mex or burger and fries - and almost always includes several alcoholic beverages....
No breakfast- Just coffee Med lunch- Usually Trader Joe's rice bowl of some type Large dinner- Usually some type of grilled chicken or ground turkey with rice or pasta Usually 2-3 beers or glasses of red wine in the evening. I play Ultimate at least once a week. 5'10" 165 pounds I lost 20-25 pounds over about a year. I attribute this almost completely to stopping eating out at lunch and switching to the rice bowls.
My meals tend to vary but these are the most common: Breakfast (8am): bowl of cereal, oatmeal, or occasionally a breakfast taco. Snack (~9-10am): usually a banana Lunch (12:30pm): Healthy choice or Marie Calenders frozen entree. Then I'll add a piece of fruit to that...it used to be Oreo's or Chips ahoy, but I've cut that out recently. Occasionally eat out at subway, schlotskys, or chinese. Snack (3:30pm): this is my downfall usually. Usually wheat thins or pretzel twists loaded with sodium, and I eat too much at once. On days I workout (2-3 days a week), I'll have a powerbar sometimes. Dinner (7pm): typically my biggest meal...grilled chicken/rice or potatoes/broccoli, tuna/turkey/pbj sandwich and chips, pasta stir-fry, hamburger helper (eat half and take half for lunch), grilled chicken salad from wendy's or jitb, chicken wrap from sonic.
I rarely eat large meals. In fact, most of my meals are not considered a full meal by most adults. I probably eat about 300-500 calories per meal and I do that around 4-5 times a day. I may have a snack or two in between. I used to eat 4-5 larger meals a day and snack almost non-stop in between. I put down somewhere between 3500-4000 calories a day. Can't do that anymore thanks to health issues
That does not sound the least bit healthy or pleasant. I eat dinner at around 6pm every night, and I'm usually starving by 6am the next morning. I eat three meals most days, and a couple of snacks. I'm not even remotely overweight.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who eats 1-2 whole meals a day. I'm all over the place. Breakfast is the biggest variable - I either skip it, a bagel, or a full breakfast. Lunch is usually a full lunch, or if I've had a full breakfast I might skip it. Dinner is a full meal, but if I've had a full breakfast/lunch, it could be a small meal, like a sandwich. Ideally I'd have a decent breakfast, large lunch, and small dinner.
10 am: 50% of the time I'll have something small (Kashi bar, bagel, etc.)...otherwise nothing 1:30 pm: lunch, average size 50% of the time some sort of snack somewhere between 3 and 7 pm. Usually unhealthy 7-8 pm: dinner--about the same size as a normal lunch 10 pm - midnight: will usually have a snack... but I don't sleep till 2ish most of the time I'm lucky my job can deal with my stupid schedule!
