Just North Dakota and South Dakota left.. I can't imagine if that will be ever be much of a priority.
21 in all. Montana Wyoming Idaho Colorado Kansas Oklahoma Arkansas Missouri Iowa Nebraska Illinois Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Florida Georgia Tennesse Maryland Virginia New Mexico TEXAS!
Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Deadwood I really liked seeing in South Dakota. Also had a lot of fun getting lost and driving around in the Black Hills. Haven't been to ND, don't see much of a draw there either.
Alaska Washington California Arizona (just connecting) Nevada New Mexico Texas Oklahoma Arkansas Missouri Louisiana Florida New York New Jersey Pennsylvania (just connecting) Hawaii Wow, more that I thought once I tallied it up.
Just beautiful, but I went during summer so I missed the winter aspect of that word. You'll love it more if you enjoy outdoor vacations set against a marvelous backdrop of lakes, mountains, forests, and do things such as hiking, biking, fishing, etc. Traveling/vacations has always been very important to me (more so than other people) and my group of friends. Too few people, as shown in this thread, have seen just how much North America has to offer, let alone the rest of the world.
Roxsquad, Also, if you ever get a chance, visit: Patagonia, Russia's Far East (only went around Lake Baikal, hope to return to see the Kamchatka Peninsula), Northern Pakistan/India, Switzerland, northern China, Upper Peninsula Michigan, NW Angle Minnesota, and New Zealand. All of the above places are similar to Alaska, and some are even better IMO.
Missing out on the NW: Have not been to WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, SD, ND, or MN....or AK. However I am being temporarily assigned to Calgary this summer so I might make a weekend jaunt down thru BC to ID, across to Flathead Lake, MT, and back.
haha. I vacation to ND twice a year, summer and christmas. I think I'm the only one on this thread who has been there!! lol. I spend weeks up there each year, and I live in Houston. My whole extended family lives there, most on farms. If I had no relatives there, I wouldn't go. But I love that state. A whole bunch of cute small towns and beautiful fields. really friendly people with great accents. the only tourist draws is Theodore Roosevelt National Park Headquartered in Medora, ND that place is cool to see the Badlands
You are one lucky man. I came very close to buying a vacation home just to have access to Banff, Glacier Natl Park, and others. Canadians take extremely good care of their national parks, and I hope someday we can do the same (like we used apparently).
Texas Florida Louisiana Colorado Ohio New York Pennsylvania New Jersey Alabama Georgia North Carolina Mississippi Maryland Wisconsin 14
Most of Eastcoast except for Vermont and Maine Exchanged a plane once in Michigan briefly.... Also went on a tour of the Southwest, did not set foot in Texas however.
California Arizona Colorado Nevada Oklahoma Texas Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Georgia Florida Tennessee Virginia Maryland DC New York New Jersey Illinois Ohio Kentucky I think that's it.
Alaska by far had to be my favorite state I've ever been too, followed by Colorado. I have to say, Hawaii is OVERRATED.....
My parents are going there next week. I want to go at some point, I haven't been on a real vacation in maybe 15 years.
A fellow North Dakotan! I was actually born and partially raised in Montana, but all my extended family on my mother's side is from ND. I've spent a lot of time in Fargo and whereabouts
