I credit noize for this, his shoe thread idea brought this one up... But I was wondering, how many shoes do you guys have?? It seems some people are just loaded with shoes while other just wear a couple of pairs with everything... I own probably 10 pairs of shoes and 3 pairs of sandals.. Is that a lot?? I mean, I need em all... I have my indoor basketball, indoor soccer, outdoor sports, grass soccer, adidas plain white, adidas with red stripes on the side, Zara white with some jean material on the side, black big toe formal shoes (square up front), I have my beige/orange-ish Docs, and my pumas.. 3 pairs of sandals, black, white and beige...mostly for traditional arabic clothes, but also just to be comfy when going to a friend's place or just to the store... Some people say I'm a shoe freak... But I need at least 6 of those shoes... can't see how i'd do without em... What about you guys?

I'm such a damn woman that I'm even considering bringing down a shoe rack for my 7 pairs with me to college. In most worn (since it's summer): 1. Birkenstock brown, two-strapped leather sandals 2. Merell hiking/jogging slide shoes (VERY comfortable) 3. Oakley tan beach sandals (they're getting to be too small) 4. Converse Famous J basketball shoes (thanks to this site ) 5. {--Empty--}* 6. Timberland 'dressy'-style shoes 7. Shower flip flops (have yet to use) * - regular jogging/tennis shoes; have a pair of Nike's, but haven't worn them in months and need to get a pair of Adidas or New Balance in a few months.
3 if you count dress shoes. one pair for all things sports related or for working out or any sort of thing that could get them dirty. one pair of pretty much the same thing that i wear out to places and keep clean. these become the sports pair when the sports pair wear out. dress shoes. and i'd love it if i never needed these, but alas they come in handy every once in a while.
pumas (casual) rockports (loafers. i know they're for old people but they're so damn comfortable.) steve madden (casual) bostonian (dress up shoes) johnston & murphy (loafers) patented (sp?) leather tux shoes (just in case) timberlands (casual) flip flops (casual) nikes (hoopin' shoes) ooops... voted wrong.
Why yes, yes I am. I think my count is 18.... And this is after I gave several pairs of shoes to Goodwill. flip flops: red, light blue, dark blue, 2 different black ones, white, lavender sneakers: 2 adidas boots: one pair GBX's Sandals: adidas some doc martens look-alikes heels: blue jean lace ups brown clogs brown strap heels silver and black platforms with red straps black strap heels
(Copied and pasted from the other thread): I count 8 pairs of shoes that I own: Air Jordans from around 1998 (I think) - still look pretty good and these are the shoes I wear most of the time when I am not working Nike Air Alpha Force or something dumb like that (probably around 2000 or so) - only wear these shoes to work out in as they are about to fall apart. A pair of Nike running shoes (don't know the model name but they are new) A pair of Johnston and Murphy dress shoes that I wear maybe once or twice a year (whenever I have to wear a suit which I don't want to do very often) A pair of Timberland boating shoes that I have had for close to 3 years - a somewhat tan color and damn good shoes. A pair of black Rockport Perth boating shoes that I have had for about a year. A pair of Sebago Schooner boating shoes that I have had for little over a year (these shoes are the f*cking bomb!). And a pair of Dexter Navigators, which are (you guessed it) boating shoes that I have also had for over a year.
I voted around ten. I have around 6 pairs of dress shoes/ boots (used them when I debated in high school, needed different pairs for different shirts/suits). 2 pairs of sneakers (one for wearing casual and one for sports). around 3 pairs of flip flops that I would wear outside and they are now my main foot wear until winter, at which i switch to dress shoes/sneakers.
95% of the time: Nike Sandles an assortment of Deck shoes Cycle boots an ancient pair of running shoes Hiking/walking shoes dust collecting Johnston & Murphy and one pair of sh*t kicking cowboy boots for those special occasions
right now only 2. one for casual wear, basketball and gym. another for running. i definitely need at least 2 more. one for work and another for casual wear. the first one is now too stinky.
I can't believe we have so many metrosexual guys on this website! I have one pair of shoes. Black tennies from Payless. You can wear them with anything since they're black. I even wear them with my tux! I also have a pair of sandles that I keep on my porch.
That was me as a teenager. I had a pair of hi-tops and nothing else. As an adult, I've needed more. Now I have 3: dress shoes (for the occassional interview and funeral), boots (for work -- casual dress-code), sneakers (for basketball and mowing the yard). Considering the state of the rest of my wardrobe, that's a pretty robust collection.
From a Shoe Perspective, yes, I'm a girl: 1 leather flip flops 2 regular flips 2 leather sandals 3 burgandy dress shoes (Johnston & Murphy & Bostonian) 2 black dress shoes (J&M) 2 black casual shoes 3 brown casual shoes 1 Reebok High tops 1 Reebok Tennis Shoe 3 Nike Air Max 2 Nike Running Shoes 1 Avia Running Shoes 1 Reebok Running Shoes 1 Cole Haan brown casual shoes 1 J&M brown casual shoes 1 Pair of Sperry Top Siders (yes, I just got them) 3 Pair of Justin Ropers (1 smooth ostrich) 1 Pair of Larry Mahan smooth ostrich boots I probably have more, but can't remember...most are within a 1 old as I bought a lot from Famous Footwear in Pasadena...This is where all the clearance shoes are...
work shoes everyday walking shoes running shoes three pairs not counting the special use stuff... hiking boots ski boots cycling shoes snow boots old ratty shoes for painting etc.
I still have shoes from like ten years ago but don't wear them unless I'm doing something that might mess up my regular rotation shoes. I have three pairs I wear regularly, basketball, walking and semi-casual. Actually I have a pair of flip-flops that I wear daily after I get home and get out of my work clothes, I guess that makes four pair that I wear and like twelve pair just sitting in my closet. I imagine it will be quite depressing when I'm 40 and still have the shoes I wore when I played high school bball or quite cool depending on how you look at it.
